MARK LEVIN (transcript):
"So why didn't Chairman Issa hold an investigative hearing a year ago? Why didn't Chairman Camp, all Republicans, hold an investigative hearing a year ago, and all the other tripping over themselves right now?
"I'll tell you why. Because the establishment Republicans, the RINO Republicans, despise the Tea Party. They despise the conservative movement.
"We exist to be managed, to be shuttled to the polling place, to vote for their candidates. The Karl Roves of the world, and all the rest of them. They fight us in the primaries, they fight us at the grassroots. We're a bunch of kooks, don't you know. We're right-wing nuts, don't you know.
"They're not going to hold an investigative hearing before an election and screw up Mitt Romney's chances to become POTUS, because a handful of Tea Party activists, you know a couple hundred, claiming that the IRS was targeting them.
"Oh, what a bunch of nuts. We'll fire off a few letters, we'll ask a question here and there, we might follow up here and there. We're not going to have a spectacle and actually conduct a hearing. We're not going to actually exercise our authority under Article One of the Constitution for these Tea Party types of crying out loud, the unwashed.
"That's why they didn't hold a hearing last year! And they're holding hearings today, not because they give a damn about the Tea Party, or conservatives for that matter, who they are raising money to defeat in the next bunch of primaries, its because they think they can get a political advantage out of this."

Where was the GOP in 2012, on this IRS persecution of Conservatives, Christian groups, Jewish groups, adoptive parents?
GOP knew about this well before the 2012 election, but here we are mid-2013 and they're suddenly holding half-hearted "hearings?"
How deep does this IRS persecution go?
Will Congress actually uncover the rest of this scandal, then prosecute anybody, or will the GOP sweep this under the rug along with Fast&Furious and Benghazi?
The GOP elite do hate conservatives and Tea Party types.
Boner purged em out this 2012 from leadership spots in the House. They had scores and a blacklist and purged em out.
If it depends on Issa, it’ll get swept under the rug and he’ll be running the broom
If they won’t fight for us then we’ll have to go third party then.
Half-hearted hearings? Issa treated that lying, arrogant witch with kid gloves. After Rush called him on it, he now wants a redo to “show” how
tough he is. Show is the key word.
Issa got rolled by that lying, IRS witch and Issa knows it.
The rinos want to be the minority globalist socialist party and want Americans cut out.
Levin is right. Issa is a phony...all bark and no bite. He did NADA after his big time, hyped up Fast and Furious hearings. And Issa is 100% behind amnesty for illegal aliens.
HOORAY Mark! DEPOPULATE socialists/totalitarians/RINOS from the body politic. DEFUND their collectives, foreign and domestic. DISMANTLE totalitarian agencies.
Socialism Is Legal Plunder - Bastiat (and so much more) Just part of what they have done to the republic...
Stop the clock. Reverse it to a surplus clock. Reduce taxes accordingly.
live - free - republic
Read the article in Levin’s voice. Has a more chilling effect.
Listen to Congressman Gowdy go after the IRS guy (whatever his name is) over just answering yes or no. It was great.
I stand with Mark!
Gowdy is the man. I heard that.
Levin is right.
not to mention using redistricting to knock out any tea partiers that bucked leadership.
...
Got chewed out on a thread when this happened for mentioning that.
Issa blew it, we loss momentum when he let her slide out of there.
Basically he back stabbed Trey Gowdy who was loaded for bear.
Gowdy, on an interview with Greta, wasn't pleased about what happened.
Now we have to wait a week or so for another hearing, momentum lost.
You don't let a Rat out of a trap!
It's almost like Issa is fighting not to let too much pressure build.
There should be a couple of hearings a week and not letting the pressure dissipate.
We’ll see — if he ever recalls Lawless Lerner.
