Am on cell can you give a synopsis?
not the IG. Let Gowdy interview them under oath.
I thought IG George’s testimony yesterday regarding his investigation was more-or-less hilarious:
“They weren’t under oath, so we had to take their word for it.”
The House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform requested five IRS workers travel to Washington and give transcribed interviews on what they know about the Cincinnati IRS office targeting tea party and conservative groups in the last few years.
One of those workers is Holly Paz, who was an IRS manager in Cincinnati, according to Treasury Department Inspector General for Tax Administration J. Russell George -- the man who headed the scathing IRS audit.
The Inspector General knew of the scandal last year and supposedly withheld the information from Obama. We know that isn’t true because the Inspector General works for the President, but that is the line.
Congress needs to drag the low level workers, the ones who were responsible for the individual applications, in to testify regarding their actions and who gave the directive. See who is willing to take responsibility for the action. Then, unless the worker is willing to take the responsibility, prosecute for abuse of power.
Start at the bottom and work up to the higher levels until someone finally says that he or she made the decision and gave the directive.
