In the world of White House politics and the politics of handling the White House press corps, the president's press secretary is the most visible target and often the first to fall when the media turns on an administration. And it appears that press secretary Jay Carney may well be approaching the point at which his deft handling of the media in past years suddenly becomes a liability in the middle of not just one but multiple presidential controversies.
I have known a few other past presidential press secretaries, but not Carney. As a rule of thumb, I would say that, although they always press their man's case with careful but passionate words, presidential press secretaries generally tend to be one of the highest ranking members of any administration who behind the scenes understands the gravity of an issue or scandal and are more grounded in the reality of a situation.

I would say yes, to categorize all of the lies, but to liberals/democRATs/marxists/progressives (sorry for the redundancy), lies don't matter.

If somebody has the time to put it up, I’d say yes. We are watching the disintegration of the whole enterprise, I think, and it would be nice to have a written record of observations.
In a similar vein, I always capitalize 'Rats. They are a force in Washington to be reckoned with, and deserving of all due respect that can be placed on them by being careful to always capitalize these 'Rats.

Probably; we also need a “media red herring” thread where other stories are thrown up for distraction (Angelina Jolie, Syria, etc.).

The media willfully ignored the truth for 5 years and now they "suspect" the Obama team might have lied?

Looking at the WH site, there’s no briefing listed for today. The Dear Leader shall be speaking on counterterrorism at two o’clock.
While I do have the time to put up a thread for that, I lack the courage. (I may find some, if no one else does.)
THAT is actually a good question for the Press Corpse to ask themselves. One reason I started the Live Threads was because it seemed that they were actually showing some signs of life. I think it’s somewhat likely that Carney is in the dark on a great deal.

May I suggest a “Spin Index?”
A Spin Index for a lie that contains the phrase “waiting for all the facts to be gathered” will be rated as a One Goebbels.
A Two Goebbels would be for a lie that contains the phrase “make sure that it never happens again.”
A Three Goebbels would be awarded to a lie that contains the phrase “I don’t know.”
Each time a lie is repeated by the Minister of Propaganda it receives an Oak Cluster.
BTW, the Goebbels Rule is “If a lie is repeated loud enough and often enough, then eventually the people will come to believe it.”
Both Hitler and Obama were/are loud and repetitive orators.
Obamanation would be nothing if they had not used the Goebbels Rule to perfection.

Absolutely. If we survive this unprecedented, slow-motion Constitutional crisis, i think it’s important that our grandkids and GGkids have archives of information to study so they can prevent future America-hating foreigners from obtaining dictator-level control over their country. :-)

Yup. That was where the drama was. I figure that’s why the briefing thread was dead. Looks like the Dear Leader speech will trump the Jay Bob Show for today, but I’ll try to keep an eye out.
