Rush is such a downer. He’s always ready to throw his hands up and announce that our side has lost.

Issa knew perfectly well what he was doing, wanted to get other testimony and probably has built a lovely trap for her. I sense a deal coming, because there’s obviously something really incriminating in her story and I’m not sure she wants to go to jail for Obama. Better act soon, though, because enemies of Obama have a habit of turning up dead in unaccountable ways.

If someone has a traffic accident or gets shot by some random drive or walk by (the passport guy?) the rest better talk fast and loud. That is the only protection against meeting the same fate. Once a whistleblower sings he removes the profit from his demise and killing him becomes more dangerous for them than leaving him alone.

I guess I’m a bit of a downer, too. This has reached the point where congress HAS to win this one, or literally the republic is over. As I said on the live hearing thread in response to an optimistic post about the press being upset with Obama:

I find myself asking, “So what if the press is upset with their creation?”

Ask yourself, “The actions of the IRS were so egregious, so open, so immediately after Obama’s chastising the SCOTUS in his State of the Union over Citizens United, how could they think they wouldn’t get caught?” My theory is that they didn’t care if they were caught.

Congress and the Supreme Court have no army to enforce anything. Obama has a sycophant press, and just showed them that they had better stay in line. Obama has a corrupt DOJ, so there will never be an indictment. Obama has the DHS (Thank you, GWB), who shows up in their intimidating glory, complete with helicopters, at Tea Party rallies, because your grandma and grandpa are potential terrorists.

In short, Obama now has the Executive Branch so thoroughly in control of the country that he can blatantly subvert the work of Congress and the Supreme Court in your face with no real fear of consequences.

In the end, only if there is a wholesale defection of democrats can anything be done to Obama and/or his administration. That’s what did Nixon in finally. Since most democrats agree with Obama’s ideology, it probably won’t happen in this case. Posturing, yes. Defection, no.

Caesar has entered Rome. The senate will have to be happy with whatever crumbs he dispenses.

And with everything that’s going on, he spends the first 30-minutes of today’s show talking about himself. I turned it off.

Yep. I’m just turning him off more and more. Seems almost like he’s just quiting the fight, more interested in proving he’s right about his theorem than turning it to advantage in trying to oust the Marxists. What good is that? Hannity, though he’s got issues of his own, is at least cheerleading for a win. But my favorite at the moment is Mark Levin. His Landmark Legal Foundation inquiry via Treasury is probably the flywheel that gave this scandal some real momentum. But Rush has to get back in the game or he’ll lose me.
