During a panel discussion on the Department of Justice seizing the phone records of Fox News James Rosen, Bret Baier revealed that the seizure included the phone records of Rosens parents. The entire panel agreed the scandal was an outrage, with Kirsten Powers pointing out that there have been a number of high-profile leaks from the Obama administration, but the only ones they seem interested in going after are the ones that make them look bad.
Charles Krauthammer found it amazing that the government would make such a huge assault on the first amendment in trying to go after Rosen for doing his job. Baier pointed out that Rosen was never formally charged nor contacted by the government. Powers accused the Obama administration of being overconcerned with prosecuting whistleblowers while not going after leakers who reveal positive information about the administration.
Baier then highlighted documents revealing that the seized phone records also included records [that] relate to James parents home in Staten Island.

The Obama Justice Department has seized the phone records of numbers that are associated with White House staffers and, apparently, with Fox News reporters, according to a document filed on October 13, 2011, in the case of Stephen Jin-Woo Kim, a former State Department contractor accused of violating the Espionage Act for allegedly leaking classified information to James Rosen, a Fox News reporter. Ronald C. Machen, Jr., the U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, who is prosecuting the case, has seized records associated with two phone numbers at the White House, at least five numbers associated with Fox News,
From the Securities and Exchange Commission to the U.S. Department of the Treasury, the Central Intelligence Agency to the Federal Communications Commission, many lawyers in top positions in the federal government have something in commontheyre from Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr.
More than any other law firm, Wilmer has populated the Obama administration with high-profile alums. At least 20 partners have left since 2009 for senior government posts. A handful have come back, but 17 others, including U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Ronald Machen Jr., Deputy Treasury Secretary Neal Wolin, Internal Revenue Service chief counsel William Wilkins, and SEC division of corporation finance head Meredith Cross, are still on the job.
These people are completely out of control!!
very dojjy
I knew this kind of crap was going to happen if a Kenyan Marxist ever got into the White House.
Just when you think they finally finished spinning everything, more details come out.
I hope this continues for a LONG time.
The WH bugged their own staffers?
Wow....Zero is getting paranoid....LOL. Wonder how his staffers like those apples?
Filthy, stinking nazi Democrats.
Outrageous.
This is almost biblical in scope.
He’s a sociopath deluxe.
Our parents and grandparents would’ve already been heating up the tar, unpacking the feathers, lighting the torches and shouldering the pitchforks.
why these sonsab*tches
The guy has his own ‘taster’ for Pete’s sake.
The buck stops with Obama, not his lapdogs.
And... it would seem ripe for Democrats, if they can unglue their lips from Barack’s rear, to add to the chorus that Obama is now out-Nixoning Nixon. And as an aside, all this spying certainly makes Obama’s claims of being unaware quite unbelievable. How can you be so curious about events, Barack, that you carried out spying — and yet not know what every conservative news organ has known about for months if not years?
