I don’t think a lawyer would advise a partial 5th. The reason for the 5th in this case is likely to obtain immunity.

I believe that the official advisement that the 5th is going to be claimed is the expectation that those seeking her testimony will agree to immunity in advance. My guess is she has something of value that her attorney believes will result in an immunity deal.

However this plays out, this is not a good development for Obama.

When I was dealing with those court cases in our county with the Democrat District Judge, I conferred with one of our lawyers about taking the 5th in that grand jury. I was told if you take the 5th, it must be total. You can't pick and choose questions. You must take it for every question.
