BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, May 20 (UPI) -- Searchers found flight recorders from a U.S. military plane that crashed in Kyrgyzstan May 3, the Kyrgyz Transport and Communication Ministry said Monday.

A ministry spokesman said the recorders were found in debris at the crash site and turned over to U.S. officials for analysis, RIA Novosti reported.

The Boeing KC-135 refueling tanker with a three-member crew crashed into a gorge about 36 miles west of Bishkek soon after taking off from the U.S. Transit Center at Bishkek's international airport.

I wonder if this might show evidence of something like a hit from stinger missiles.

One of the breaking news today is that the Benghazi effort was to buy back stinger missiles from Al Qaeda.

What brought down this KC-135 tanker? Old age? Al Quada equipped with stinger missiles the US has supplied them with? This makes Iran-Contra look like a truly patriotic effort (which it was).

Seems that there are many potential causes.Weather being one,old age, even sabotage. Also,IIRC that's very mountainous part of the world...my understanding is that flying in mountainous regions is particularly difficult.

Especially with a wing torn off by a missile.

Unless you’re in a F-15.

Although, to be fair, it wasn’t torn off by a missile, it was a mid-air collision.
