I just went to the Israel National News web site and they reported that there was a vehicle damaged but it was not destroyed and that no one was injured. They also reported that the IDF response had a direct hit on the location from where the attack originated in the Golan Heights.

No pictures then it never happened... they probably fired on the IDF and then the Israelis killed the syrians.

I am wondering if the Syrian Army was taking “credit” for an attack perpetrated by Hezbollah from the Golan?

Yesterday, the Israeli media showed an old Israeli jeep taken as booty either by Hizbollah or other forces in Lebanon after Israel left S. Lebanon in 2000. The story said that Syrian rebels had used it and the Syrian Army damaged it and there’s a picture of it. So maybe they are trying to link shooting at an Israeli jeep with the picture of the “captured” Syrian rebel jeep that at one time belonged to the Israel Defense Forces?

I can follow the logic of your thought. However, Israel’s Defense Minister did confirm this latest military action.

There has been no confirmation from the Israeli side that an armoured vehicle was destroyed. Israeli media report that a vehicle was hit by small arms fire and that they (the Israelis) returned pinpoint fire on the site that shot at them. They used a domestically produced missile to silence that Syrian point. Repeat, no sign that Israelis suffered a major hit with loss of life...this is true for the moment.

I would like for you to read my postings. The information I have provided is at the Israel National News Agencies web site. Its there where I found out no Israeli vehicle was destroyed, that no Israeli’s were injured, that the Syrian site was destroyed and that the Defense minister did comment on this newest episode.

Armored vehicle? A horse covered by a blanket?
To: Kalam
ok, SO WE ARE IN AGREEMENT. Let us hope that the Israeli Defense Force personnel stay safe while their adversaries chew each other up (apparently literally as Syrians are taking bites out of other Syrians’ hearts and livers).
How can any sane person or country expect Israelis to make agreements with these animals? The world knows that they are actually less than animals so why all the pressure for negotiations and Israeli compromise?

Yes we are in agreement. That includes Israel only negotiating from a position of strength.

Yeah, like that was a tough prediction to make.

Mad Albright said, during the bloody Oslo years (1993-2003) that Israel had to “make painfull compromises for Peace”.
Israel gave away some tangible assets to Arafart and got only bloody mayhem in return so what is it actually being negotiated each time? Answer, how much can Israel give, give, give until the Arabs are satisfied and willing to MOVE ON and end the conflict? The Arabs are not yet civilized enough to make peace and improve their miserable lives so there really is nothing to negotiate as of right now. Maybe, when the Arabs grow up, stop screaming and killing, maybe then, they can sit like human beings at a negotiating table. For now, they are too busy slaughtering each other while the world looks on, crying crocodile tears...
