President Barack Obama called Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin on Monday to express his concern about a monstrous tornado that wreaked havoc in the Oklahoma City suburbs. The White House said Obama told the governor that hes directed the government and the Federal Emergency Management Agency to provide any assistance she needs. FEMA has sent a special team to Oklahomas emergency operations center to help out and dispatch resources. The White House said Obamas homeland security team is keeping him updated on the situation. The tornado flattened entire neighborhoods in the southern suburb of Moore with winds up to 200 mph, leaving buildings on fire and landing a direct blow to an elementary school.

I’ve been to OKC quite a few times. Stayed in a hotel that got destroyed in 1999, in fact. Oklahomans will rebuild. Great state, great people.
Help in what?
Is he going to audit the entire state?
help?
He is going to raise their taxes and send their money to Kenya or the Muslim Brotherhood?
No worries, he'll be walking through the rubble soon, hugging moms and holding babies and the ever compliant media will be on board calling him then "comforter in chief". This is the role the "news" media prefers to play with Obama. They really don't like being forced to ask uncomfortable questions regarding the myriad of issues plaguing their demigod they helped put in power.

There must be somewhere else to build. I put this in the same category as people who rebuild after a hurricane. Do not build in tornado alley or on the coast of the Atlantic and gulf. Seriously homes down in 1999 and now 2013. That is only 14 years later. I want them to have a wonderful life somewhere else.
Yes, but that is basically the President’s job. Everyone loved President Bush after 9/11 because he held the babies, gave comfort, etc. I know that President Bush meant it though. Obama it will be all theater.
This is about as much “breaking news” as that the sun is rising in the east.

*****
They keep him updated about a tornado but not about Benghazi. Now that the little dictator has become involved you can rest assured that they will get the same treatment Hurricane Sandy victims got. A photo-op and empty promises.
The cynic in me first thought on hearing about the tornado was that I bet Obama and his minions are happy to get his scandals off the front page for a few days.

Well there is no such thing as terra ferma. There is going to be a chance for disaster wherever you live in.

You may be right. I was going to put it into Announcements. However, did you ever think that Obama would be helping a red state so quickly????? It is clearly a front page miracle. lol.
a phone call is “helping”?
Never waste an opportunity. Funny how every time he looks like he’s down for the count some national emergency pops up for him to come to the rescue as a hero. Hurricane Ike right before the 2012 election to deflect from Benghazi and now the tornado in Oklahoma to deflect from the IRS scandal (and there are more). Its almost as if Satan himself is protecting him and I bet that’s exactly what it us.
Didn’t I just hear that the folks in Long Island are still without homes and help ?
Satan is the prince of the power of the air ... do the math.
The media are not reporting any downsides from Hurricane Sandy.
I’m still frustrated at how the media and liberals politicized Hurricane Katrina. The Obama administration did not face the same scrutiny/criticism/blame over Sandy issus as the Bush administration faced over Katrina.
Bush was 10 times the President Obama is.
