One thing that annoys me is that the children were in school instead of with their parents. It’s one thing being in the arms of your parents and being separated by the winds. It’s another thing being in a school forced to fend for oneself at such an early age. A teacher is limited with what they can do to comfort and protect.

I grew up in tornado alley in the 50s. I remember going into the center hallway and squatting down and covering my head. I don’t remember my parents ever coming to pick us up. We had no basement. The one time I was in a neighbor’s home and a big tornado hit Dallas, the mom made us hide under the bed. First she let us look out the window at the beast. I can still see it.

I am not a fan of the lock down mentality, it screams totalitarianism. I hear they are denying access to the site by parents with missing children. In a crisis I want access to my children or I will be in jail.
