And what started as a relationship between two young women has snowballed into a legal battle that could land Hunt in prison.

The high school senior apparently met her girlfriend, who is now 15-years-old, on the school basketball team at Sebastian River High School in Sebastian, Florida; the two began dating at the beginning of the school year.

See, in the eyes of this pathetic failure of a parent, her daughter didn't do anything wrong. It is all the fault of the other girl's parents because they are homophobic.
According to the article, the relationship started when both girls were minors.
They would if sex was involved, and the boy was above the legal age of consent.
The girls was 17 when this started. The parents did nothing until she turned 18. I would bet if the daughter was doing the 18 year old football quarterback, the parents wouldn’t have made a peep.

As ridiculous as this will sound, by the logic postulated by the obvious pro-gay folks in the article...SOME of the cases of sex by Catholic Priest’s should be ignored...after all it was love or consensual but gay.

True, though all hell can break loose in situations like this where the minor's parent's don't approve of the relationship for whatever reason. That seems to be the case here - the article implies that the minor's parents disapproved because it was a homosexual relationship (that may or may not actually be the case), but regardless of their reason, it looks like the only reason the school and authorities became involved is because the minor's parents complained.

If a man over age 18 (even days over that age) was having sex with my 15 y/o daughter? I imagine the loser or his next of kin could give lessons on the meaning of "all hell breaking loose" after that mistake! Going the legal route is quite gentle compared with what adults who prey on children under age 16 deserve.

And did you see where it mentioned they knew and didn’t get cops involved until after she turned 18? This is not protecting their kid it is about getting back at the other girl involved.

So just curious, the definition of statutory rape is: “The criminal offense of statutory rape is committed when an adult sexually penetrates a person who, under the law, is incapable of consenting to sex. Minors and physically and mentally incapacitated persons are deemed incapable of consenting to sex under rape statutes in all states. These persons are considered deserving of special protection because they are especially vulnerable due to their youth or condition.
So since I don’t know what this 18 year old girls “situation” is, I would assume she isn’t equipped with the equipment to “sexually penetrate” and therefore not capable of “sealing the deal.”
Thank God I’m not a lawyer, and if I were the underage girl’s father I would still be mad as hell. But this may not go anywhere.

Read this very carefully: Sexual behavior between two people, if one of them is below the legal age consent, is a crime. In every state of the union, including Florida. Being a lesbian doesn't provide an exception.

It matters because the majority of lesbians and homosexuals admit to an interest in the 13-16 set. That’s called pederasty.
If you call them pedophiles they can deflect the argument by calling it hyperbole - which it is - therefore it’s important to get the terminolgy correct in order to prevent giving these degenerates a way to deflect the argument.
A person can be raped with the use of an object. Penetration does not require a body part.
