Didn't the New York Times just issue a scathing article on Kathryn Ruemmler, White House Counsel? The office that Lanny Davis once occupiied?
Perhaps there is no either/or here: 1.) Either the White House/Treasury Dept is full of a bunch of bunglers, or 2.) there was something nefarious afoot - in which case the MSM seems to want to take the former and run with the talking points.
But perhaps this is a case of both/and and not either/or:
Was something nefarious affot, and yet the White House/Treasury Department still managed to bungle its handling of it?
I guess perhaps in time we will see which of the two is true?

I heard the EPA is just as bad as IRS. Over 80% of liberal groups got their fees waived and over 80% of conservatives and corporations did not.
