Will they test firearms not linked to any crime so that they can have the pleasure of destroying them rather than allow them into gun shops to compete with new firearms?

I’ll give them $10,000 for all +/- 1,900 of them. I’ll take them out of state and provide any info they want from them. Any implicated gins will be returned for $200 each. When we’re done the remaining guns will be mine.

Any takers? Anyone want to invest with me?

Why are the police rushing to circumvent the wishes of the legislature, governor, and therefore the people?

“To Protect and Serve” my ass.

Liberals are evil, it’s the only explanation. They destroyed perfectly good cars in Cash-for-Clunkers to create union jobs replacing the destroyed vehicles, and they destroy perfectly good firearms rather than resell them. Waste disgusts me, and liberalism is inherently wasteful.

Somewhere gun manufacturers are lighting a cigar and saying “Good. Good”.

No testing. They have been granted amnesty. If they’re having a hard time destroying them maybe they should hire some of those australian dudes they showed in the video after the massive turn in down under. Those guys had it down when it came to destroying other folks valuable private property. Just doing their jobs I guess. (I’d have been like some guy working an animal shelter that puts stray and unwanted dogs down. Looking for a new job!)

Somehow I doubt the police would be “rushing” to destroy already seized pot if marijuana were suddenly legalized.

Oops. On 2nd look it does appear they are checking them all but the “turn in-ees” I guess got the ol’ “no questions asked”. So yeah, a good way to get rid of a gun someone used in a crime I guess.

Phoenix police are in a race against time in processing guns that the city purchased at recent gun buyback events. A new Arizona law that hasn't yet taken effect bars cities and counties from destroying guns turned over to police at buyback events and instead requires that the guns be resold.

OK, you DO realize that you're a blathering statist, collectivist anti-rights oxygen thief who can barely assemble two words, yes? And even then they aren't really coherent? The statist tyrants who are the recipients of so much of your concern over their "difficult situation" were aware of the new law. If they didn't have the time to squeeze in another history-destroying rights-repudiating "buyback" no one was holding a gun to their head! (pun intended)

They CHOSE to have this controversial event knowing about the new law. Any logistical problems are therefore theirs alone and deserving of no sympathy. Why are you sympathizing with them because they might have a little trouble sticking their thumb in their masters' eye one last time?
