Thank you so much for starting this thread. I’m in KC and watching non-stop since it’s coming my way.
Danka, Tom.
OMG...prayers up for everyone in that monster’s path. That is a truly hellacious picture....
Lived in LA for almost 20 years and went through the Northridge quake. I hate quakes - no warning, nothing. I must admit, though, this is the first tornado outbreak I’m preparing myself for. Very scary.
Prayers up for you and yours! Do you have an underground shelter?
OK tornado cell is being reported as at least an EF3 and probably an EF4.
Nothing more frightening than a large earthquake and the Northridge quake really got people’s attention, but tornados destroy and kill every year in tornado alley. Stay safe. I’m praying for everybody in your area.
Very powerful looking hook on that monster! Prayers for all in the path of this storm.
Yes, I have a basement with my laptop already set up.
At least these storms were SPC warned, Granbury was NOT.
Thanks!!!
Oh good!!
Looked at your profile page, love your pups (and cats, too). We live on the other side of the state line. I am hoping this is much ado about nothing, our pups don’t like the basement. We lied in the same house for many years, and no dog has ever voluntarily come down the basement steps. I wonder what they know that we don’t!

That’s Oklahoma
The US Geological Survey considers parts of Colorado, Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, and Wyoming to be part of the Great Plains, the western most portion of the vast North American Interior Plains.
Many people don’t realize that over half of Colorado is mostly flat and is in the Great Plains.
Fabulous you posted actual live!
Went to School at Park University in KC, married a girl from Wichita, spent 3 years in Topeka, and Ft. Riley, Ks. Got caught in the open one time on the Kansas turnpike had to lay in a ditch. Many scary times in tornado alley. Went through Greenberg Ks 3 weeks after it got blown off the map, what devastation, it looked like it had been bombed! After moving away we would only visit out of tornado season. I hated it when tornado watches lasted all night.
