The day after it happened, I acknowledged that this was an act of terrorism.
President Obama, remarks at a news conference, May 13, 2013
Once again, it appears that we must parse a few presidential words. We went through this question at length during the 2012 election, but perhaps a refresher course is in order.
Notably, during a debate with Republican nominee Mitt Romney, President Obama said that he immediately told the American people that the killing of the U.S. ambassador and three other Americans in Libya was an act of terror. But now he says he called it an act of terrorism.
Some readers may object to this continuing focus on words, but presidential aides spend a lot of time on words. Words have consequences. Is there a difference between act of terror and act of terrorism?

Sure there is.
One is a weasel-word sentence that means nothing.
The other is an admission that the one who uttered it is a failure.
Is there a follow-up question?
Is this what they mean now by “ex Post Facto”?
Lets ask that slob from CNN Candy Crowley for her opinion.
Typical of the Partisan Media Shills to be beside the point.
The POINT is, the lying POS and his henchthugs continuously attributed the premeditated attack to a video that almost no one has ever seen.
Obama is a lying POS.
The WashPo is still his creature.
I do not need news organizations or anyone telling me that Obama lies, or how much he lies or how well he lies.
What I need is for someone to tell me what the truth is, since the president nor anyone in his administration is even remotely capable of speaking truth.
I think Candy Crowley ATE 4 Pinnochios.
I've had it up to here with leftwing lickspittles masquerading as journalists.
Candy Crowley will be there and will eat whatever snacks the WaPo reporter misses.
"Grab the transcript (preplanned by the Rhodes brothers), Candy!" - Pres. 0bama
Anyone wanting on or off this ping list, please advise.
You have to parse every word because he is a lawyer. Depends on what is is.
It takes more orchestration for the Partisan Media to be beside-the-point about Benghazi than it does for them to simply not cover Benghazi at all.
Scary orchestrated propaganda, isn't it.
He’s a lawyer in the sense that mobster lawyers are lawyers.
His damage control is always the same — get the Partisan Media Shills to regurgitate the talking points; the talking points always semantically redefine (spin) the facts of the issue; deflect blame, sometimes at multiple levels (Benghazi, the tape, then the military in Africa, then finally Hillary); misdirect, with a contrived leak of info.
what could be a better choice than the IRS scandal (contrived leak)? He’s already got a few tax hikes notched on his belt, and nothing is more unifying for conservatives than anger at the IRS; in addition, the major misdirection (after the video meme) was the supposed US embassy coordination of weapons transfers to Syria, which is 950 miles away, through at least two intervening countries (IOW, total BS).
IOW, that makes THREE blame deflections, and pulls some sniper fire away from the real issue, which is, Zero and Co let our ambassador and three others be slaughtered by a group of his coreligionists, in what was obviously a premeditated attack
After the video lie failed, and the election was behind him, he threw Hillary to the wolves; and while that was going on, his team was working on contrived leaks about weapons smuggling, in order to drop the blame squarely on the shoulders of the victims of the jihadists. We’ve already seen that the dead ambassador is being said to have refused additional security — see, his own fault.
..just another Odungo lie
Candy Crowley should choke on Pinocchio
Yeah, I've been thinking that the Syria weapons transfer meme is misdirection too. Geraldo was pushing it last week as a justification. Beck has been pushing it as another "shoe to drop", shifting attention away from numerous shoes that have already dropped.
