Civil servants always will have the “American people’s back” despite dysfunctional politics, former Vice President Al Gore told federal employees on Monday.
“I have never lost faith in you, the career people who keep this thing going in spite of all curveballs thrown in front of you, the latest being the sequester, well, the latest is -- what’s the date today?” the head of an initiative to reform government during the Clinton administration told a standing room-only crowd of federal employees at the Excellence in Government conference, sponsored by the Government Executive Media Group, in Washington.

“Workers know, they understand the problems better than managers do. The people who are closest to what needs to be fixed know best how to fix it. Now, the problem is, they have learned through many years of experience that somebody who sticks his neck out might get his head chopped off,” the former veep said, referring to government’s traditional aversion to risk-taking and risk-takers.

You know he is specifically referring to Janet Reno, a civil servant that surely had no idea how to fix government by cracking down on making illegal fund-raising telephone calls from the White House as did the guy in the oval office with the probing cigar.

I remember when this jacka$$ game to Houston one time to present one of those phony awards to a federal agency for outstanding work. My boss, the US Marshal, made me go because they needed an audience there. We sat on the 3rd row, in the very center.....I never applauded once and certainly never smiled. When we left and got in the car, he said “why didn’t you ever clap?” and I responded, “hey you ordered me to attend, but you didn’t tell me I had to be happy about it”.....he cracked up!
When is this economic terrorist going to be thrown in jail? First off, putting aside his climate hoax that so far to date has netted him $300 million in stock schemes, isn’t attempted rape a crime? Did he or did he not attempt to rape a masseuse? So what is this economic terrorist doing waltzing around a free man?
The feds watch America’s back, because they are too cowardly to try to stick in a knife when they are being watched.
Were you allowed to ask the economic terrorist Gore questions? I would have asked him how one can make a $300 million dollar fortune like he did in 10 short years while unemployed.
