Jackie deShannon had written this tune in 1973 as a fast ragtime number. Kim Carnes slowed it down and gave it a haunting, mystical, electronic sound. I didnt like it all that much until I heard it while ahem, cough, cough! stoned one night. Suddenly it all made sense, and I rank it as one of the greatest recordings of the Eighties.
