Things go wrong in government. Sometimes it’s just bad luck. Sometimes it’s rank incompetence. Sometimes it’s criminal wrongdoing. Most of the time you never hear about it. Or, if you do hear about it, the media eventually gets bored talking about it (see warming, global). But every so often an instance of government wrongdoing sprouts wings and becomes something quite exciting: A political scandal.
The crucial ingredient for a scandal is the prospect of high-level White House involvement and wide political repercussions. Government wrongdoing is boring. Scandals can bring down presidents, decide elections and revive down-and-out political parties. Scandals can dominate American politics for months at a time.
On Tuesday, it looked like we had three possible political scandals brewing. Two days later, with much more evidence available, it doesn’t look like any of them will pan out. There’ll be more hearings, and more bad press for the Obama administration, and more demands for documents.
But — and this is a key qualification — absent more revelations, the scandals that could reach high don’t seem to include any real wrongdoing, whereas the ones that include real wrongdoing don’t reach high enough. Let’s go through them.

Proud "Progressive Democrat" Barbara Buono is on track to become the first major party nominee in New Jersey state history who fails to raise enough money in the primary to qualify for maximum public financing.
NJ Democrats are registered 10-1 but Buono can't even raise enough money to qualify for matching funds. Buono’s campaign war chest is so skimpy she may not generate enough contributions to secure all of her public matching funds for the primary or general election. I didn’t consider, until today, that the fedgov anticipated that something they did coming to light, or something they plan to do,

I don't think Klein really understands things from any other than a strictly partisan-games perspective, which is too bad because he is bright enough to do better than that. This piece, though, this is simply embarrassing.
The investigations into these scandals might not go anywhere, justice may not ever be served, but not the reasons this hack cites.

I’m an optimist. I think this is the beginning of the Regime agenda falling apart, and America getting back on the road to her true foundations.
Bluntly speaking, we don’t need these scandals to take down Obama.
What we need them to do is reset the debate on size scope and role of govenment onto out playing field.
They’re already doing that, if “Dead Intern Joe’s” sudden u turn on tn background checks is any indication. Gun control is effectively dead. And other second term agenda items like immigration reform and the ObamaCare implementation are going to be impacted in our favor.

I have heard numerous talking heads and talk show hosts talking about how this could bring Obama down....and even some Freepers. Bull-o-knee. Ain't heppening.
Evil, corrupt dictators at this stage of their reign are usually very good at hiding their tracks. There will be NOTHING that leads back to the White House. NOTHING. It may be plain as day that it does...it may be obvious the POTUS is lying. But there will be no proof and just like always he will simply say: "I know nothing...we had nothing to do with it...I just found out watching the news..." and you won't be able to prove a thing. He has NO honor so he will not be shamed into stepping down.

LOL. The IRS scandal was revealed just seven days ago. The liberal hack Klein, in the WP no less, tells you there's no there there, and you believe it. That's what LIVs do.
