No, prosecution & persecution.
The Inquisition. IRS style.
Christians told to disclose their prayers, while similar treatment of muslims is strictly off-limits. Let it sink in.
"YOU don't like it?
Then get a Koran and convert."
Pulling their tax exempt status.
If you pray, and they view it as political, it is illegal.
It’s getting harder and harder not to pray for tragedy to fill these apparatchiks lives.
Ok, of all the stuff I’ve heard about the IRS pulling, and there’s a lot of bad stuff, this just creeped me out the most. I mean that’s downright Spanish Inquisition.
Psalm 109:8
No, but it bothers them that YOU do!
They've also asked:
“What are you reading?”
“How much money do you typically carry in your wallet?”
I would have told them:
“Please provide your questions in writing, so that I may review them with an accountant and attorney, to ensure my answers are current and complete.”
(...and so I can share you asinine intrusions with the media)
It almost sounds as if these lefties working at the IRS, in stunned amazement that they had gotten away with it this far, kept trying to one-up each other in pushing the edge of the envelope.
Has not the line in the sand been crossed?
If not, then I seriously doubt that there is any line.
They’re afraid the prayers are political. Can’t have that.
In a sane world the irs would be disbanded and its management put in prison.
They think they're God.
Before you get authorization to mail at a non profit rate, or receive exemption from federal income tax, you must, first of all, be a group.
Believe it or not there are individuals who make masterful efforts to prove that they are really groups. If they succeed, they'll donate all their income to their one man church, let the church take care of them, and they will evade taxation.
One such individual was called The Reverend Ewing. He single handedly tied up IRS, USPS, HUD and tax authorities in a number of different states. There was no church at all in his life, but he said there was and he really knew the rules, and apparently could acquit himself well in state and federal courts.
A friend of mine had been tending the 'evidence' provided by the Reverend Union for at least 10 years ~ maybe 15. It took up space and since it was still a live case we could just send it off to a federal records center.
The case languished for years. Then, finally the big boss died, my friend retired, and we took the 'evidence', put it in boxes, and declared it 'lost'. End of that case. He never did get to use nonprofit mailing privileges though. That's because he could never prove he was a group. He tried. I know that at one point my friend had actually asked him to provide the content of prayers given at services, and asked if he could come visit the church some day to see him preach.
The bureaucrats are not crazy to distrust some members of the public!

Wow.
Hey, don’t worry they were punished with “oral counseling”
I’ve said it so many times!
Shut down the IRS completely. Fire everyone! Pull out the phone and internet lines. Sell, lease or board up all buildings being used by this evil, totalitarian organization.
Kill the central socialist government by eliminating the present tax system. No more corporate income taxes, no subsidies, no gimmies of any kind and a singular rate for all income levels: 8% or less would do nicely.
How about a federal government that defends America?
And Americans, fire this evil, lop-eared, anti-American phony president and his court jester.
America is dying by degrees. Stop the madness while we still have a nation.
