GOP Rep. Mike Kelly was a huge hit at Friday’s House hearing on IRS harassment of conservative groups as he skewered acting IRS commissioner Steven Miller.

People have used the words ‘feet to the fire” for a while now, but this is the time it matters most. The GOP cannot be allowed to moderate and compromise their way out of holding these bastards legally accountable. If the GOP is allowed to weasel their way out of hammering this to the wall, we should not complain if we sit silently and let them.
If we had elected people we trust over the years rather than unprincipled idiots we could get a ‘win’ with, this would not be an issue. Principled people so principled work. But we didn’t and now when the SHTF, we have to worry about who we can trust.
So lets do the ‘feet to the fire’ stuff we all spouted for so long. In whatever way we can.
Why is this a RANT? Why demean stating the truth with conviction by calling it a RANT?
Why is it that any time something is delivered in less than soothing and dulcet tones it is a RANT these days? These milk toast deliveries are not heard and are immaterial.
If I were there you would have to rethink your definition of RANT. If Miller smirked at me like he did Kelly I’d have at least called him out by asking him:
“Mr. Kelly, you smirked just now, why? Are we annoying you or is it something else? You’ve been doing that all day. What part of this hearing is it that you consider worthy of a smirk from you? Is it that you don’t think you, or the IRS or the Federal Government should be required to answer to the People of the United States? Are they bothering you Mr. Miller? Because when you smirk at me you are smirking at the people who elected me to represent them and I take that damn seriously Mr. Kelly. What is your answer? I’m listening and the people I represent are listening.”
I would not ask the question in dulcet and soothing tones... I guess it would be a RANT.
And the guys at the top obviously don't care if the lower level guys make smack up.
We are not CUSTOMERS... let’s dispense with that tommyrot crap right now. We are TAXPAYERS.
CUSTOMERS are buying a product willingly. We are not and our only choice to not buy the product is to NOT EARN ANY MONEY or NOT LIVE HERE or GO TO JAIL. Those are not choices a CUSTOMER makes.
This one was, and it was great.
It’s actually a very good turn of events that Holder and this guy are behaving like the maggots that they are. This is no doubt enraging many Rs and stiffening their spines.
Oh I agree. I hope they go full raging tyrant because that’s the only hope we have of waking people up and as you said, helping the GOP find their spines. And other more masculine body parts.
Otherwise, the GOP will weasel their way out of it and the people will go right back to their usual compliance.
