The worst possible outcome of the IRS scandal would see it growing large enough to call the legitimacy of the 2012 election into question.
Some people reading this might think its already reached that point. Others would say it could never reach that point. There is a case to be made that the American system would resist such an outcome, in a much broader sense than merely partisan Democrats in Washington and the media protecting Obama. Among other questions that would give us all pause: what would we do? Hold another election on short notice? Hand the Administration over to the people who lost the last election? Even if the worst comes to pass, theres no practical remedy that the American political system would be able to swallow.
Once in a while, an entire government can be seen coming down in other countries, but its not something Americans really, even those who most vigorously oppose Barack Obama want to go through. The price paid in domestic and foreign policy disruption would be far too high.
On the other hand, as evidence of IRS oppression theres really no better word for it against the Presidents political opponents piles up, we have reason to wonder if the outcome of the election was swayed. The ability of the targeted groups to raise funds was compromised, and we all know the relationship between funding and political speech. There are widespread accounts of intimidation, from both the data gathered by those intrusive IRS questionnaires, and the fear of dire consequences if those questions were answered incorrectly. And there have been complaints of confidential IRS information being handed over to partisan operations, inflicting damage on the opposing candidate and his party that would be impossible to quantify with a precise number....

I had a horrible thought: that no matter how many people voted for Romney, the election was so thoroughly rigged he had no chance, absolutely none, of winning.
Too bad we can’t just have a vote of “no confidence”.....
Not one single chance. The election is over. Even if you had irrefutable evidence that Obama had stuffed ballots and rigged voting machines, another election would not be held (although he could be impeached if he was found to have been directly involved).
Now’s not the time for pipe-dreaming. If you want to be realistically unrealistic, point out that there is a slim chance we replace Boehner with Steve King in congress. Obama and Biden are BOTH found to have been involved with the IRS targeting. They both get impeached, and we get a President King, instead of a president who acts like a king.
Right now though, the most likely outcome of all this is Barry and the Dems lose seats in the House and lose the senate in 2014.
IRS oppression is one attack vector.
Deliberately overwhelming early voting procedures/facilitate vote fraud, is another vector.
Counting irregularities, another.
Don’t forget Harry Reid. He repeatedly claimed to have Romney’s tax records.
Quite possibly altered the election. But it’s hard to make a stink about it when the darned GOP itself was doing everything it could to pour cold water on the entire tea-party movement right after the 2010 mid-terms onward. Even FoxNews conspicuously dropped it like a rock, as if it had orders to do so. The outlawing of the very words “tea party” from being spoken at the GOP convention still angers the hell out me.
Time to push the FairTax!
“I had a horrible thought: that no matter how many people voted for Romney, the election was so thoroughly rigged he had no chance, absolutely none, of winning.”
I had that thought for months ahead of time. Some may remember that at one point long before election day, Nancy Pelosi guaranteed an Obama victory. There was something about her certainty and her smugness that sent a chill down my spine. I told my wife she was certain because she knew it was rigged. She also boldly asserted the Supreme Court would uphold Obamacare. I think she knew that was rigged, too.
While our side naively deals in good faith, Marxists and Muslim sympathizers are murdering our country.
Correct, there is only impeachment option now.
As much as it irks me, regardless of how he got elected, or re-elected, once he is given the Oath of Office the Kenyan is legally POTUS.
The House has only one opportunity to stop a fraud election or candidate, when they certify the Electoral College.
Obviously, the Founders did not want to make it too easy to bum rush a President.
BINGO!!
Remember Ohio? Romney was packing every event everywhere he went. Zippy couldn't 1/4 fill concert halls, even with concerts playing!
Potemkin theater is coming to a close.
Some key patrons of Richard Nixon urged him to contest the close 1960 presidential election when evidence of election fraud in Chicago and West Virginia surfaced. Nixon declined saying he did not want to create a constitutional crisis. Al Gore didn’t have any such qualms in 2000.
Treason.

Mmmm Hmmmm- good luck ghetting anyone in the press to cover that story or anyone on the republican side to lift a figner iunvestigatign that issue
Recall some PHL precincts voting 107% for Obama? Good times..... /s
its a losers mentality and its very prevalent...
"Politics is about the Benjamins, "This game runs on one thing -- dollars,"Soucy told the Waterbury group and advised them to come up with $10,000 to give to Donovan's congressional campaign before the breakfast meeting "to show they were serious."
"We're dealing with politicians here, not the Mob,''
But who else leaves the money in a fridge?
I tell you what is not very prevalent, and that is common sense. You can have your opinion, but then you have an a****** too. It means nothing unless you can support it. So don't go preaching to me and many others about something you have obviously not thought out, but merely parroting the betting line from the Republican elite.
Here is the idea: I vote for whom I believe will be best for out country, that is who will govern according to the oath he swore upon taking elected office, to uphold the constitution of the United States. If he doesn't make it, and there is no close second, then I don't play the election like I would bet on a football game, with odds and handicaps and whatever. I will wait for someone who I will place my trust in via my vote. I am not going to give me vote to someone according to some arcane formula so I can say that I was on the winning side. I don't mind being on the losing side if it is the right side. Apparently you have a hard time with this concept as evidenced by your snarky remarks. You might want to give this some more thoughts as it indicative of an unformed mind. If you are on FR there is no excuse for this.
