A pack of tornadoes killed at least six people and injured dozens in East Texas Wednesday night.
The city of Granbury, southwest of Ft. Worth was hardest hit.

I think of East Texas as the region of oak and pine forests east of the blackland prairie.
Please my prayers.... it was horrendous to only hear about it. I can’t imagine the absolute horror of living through it..
We lived in the DFW area for many years, and I remember the frequent warnings every spring, but none ever hit new us. Strangely, here in the Austin area, a tornado warning is very rare.
Texas Highways magazine calls the tornado area Prairies and Lakes.
