Thats the revelation made by California Congressman Devin Nunes, who sits on the House Ways And Means Committee on Hugh Hewitts Show Wednesday night. Heres the key part of that transcript:
HH: The idea that this might be a Geithner-Axelrod plan, and by that, the sort of intimation, Henry II style, will no one rid me of this turbulent priest, will no one rid me of these turbulent Tea Parties, that might have just been a hint, a shift of an eyebrow, a change in the tone of voice. Thats going to take a long time to get to. I dont trust the Department of Justice on this. Do you, Congressman Nunes?
DN: No, I absolutely do not, especially after this wiretapping incident, essentially, of the House of Representative. I dont think people are focusing on the right thing when they talk about going after the AP reporters. The big problem that I see is that they actually tapped right where Im sitting right now, the Cloak Room.

Perhaps, however if the Justice dept was concerned about a leak, it may have been tapping as mentioned in this transcript.

FBI files.
And no one to this day knows who hired Craig Livingsone who gathered those FBI files.
I love the Henry II reference. A few years after Becket’s murder, Henry crawled on his knees through Canterbury to the cathedral that housed Tomas’ tomb. When he got there we allowed himself to be lashed many times by the Canterbury clergy, then laid in the cold tomb for several days.
Whether Henry Plantagenet’s discomfort was matched by his remorse is a matter of conjecture. But he at least did it, and it was his idea.
There will be no penitential flagellation out of the Obama syndicate..
At least we have SOME good guys in DC.
“how much will the liberals stand for?”
We’ll have to ask them when they are finished building the ovens.
I have been praying that the judge is reading this crap and will come to a decision this week in our favor. It would be great to add that to this weeks events.
Have a good night.
I leaned about the Drudge Report years ago from a local newspaper editor. Journalists read the guy - they might not report the stuff Drudge covers, but they’re in the loop.
Makes me wonder even more now what they had on John Roberts
more like several! Me included!
I want to know what is being held over top republican heads.
It’s very hard to believe that they obtained phone records without also tapping the phones. In the case of the House telephone, how would they know which congressman made the call and was it passing “secrets”? There are 435 members of the House and any one of them could have placed a call.
The purpose of the investigation stated was that it was to identify who was passing confidential information. Without knowing the content of the calls, how would DOJ be able to put together a case against anyone?
If they did tap, then they also heard House members calling their girlfriends (or boyfriends), talking with their donors, passing on stock tips to their relatives, etc. They would have gained a lot of info that would be useful in future campaigns, an opportunity almost too good for them to pass up.
You can bet that more than a few House members are frightened about this.
Prayers up for all!! God bless and keep you and yours safe!
Where r u?
Wow.
Now that he’s messing with the important people something might actually get done.
Would this explain Bone-head Bohner’s squishness???
They are building a kgb and the enemy is the constitution and those American-Americans who know about it and raise heck about it; thereby threatening the existence and total power of the Federal KGB and it’s “socialist” (actually, a Chinese model of Marxism) ruling party.
It’s a Democrat criminal conspiracy, “Henry II style, will no one rid me of this turbulent priest, will no one rid me of these turbulent Tea Parties, that might have just been a hint, a shift of an eyebrow, a change in the tone of voice.”
The criminality, of which we all have been aware for a long time, is so pervasive and extensive!
Our reaction to all of these “scandals” coming out is not because it reveals the pervasive criminality — we already know about that, and that the real situation is FAR worse. We need effective proof.
Our reactions to these revelations reflect the hope that these lapses in the usual criminal coverup will permit good Americans to prove the criminality, and finally fix the situation!
So take command of the language and be relentless. As someone advised on the Gosnell court case, summarize it all by making it a verb! “Every year scores of babies get “Gosnelled” to death.”
Make sure we call all this corruption by equally effective names and make it common knowledge to all that the democrat machine and its leaders and its puppets are obviously and laughably to everyone mere organized political criminals, and that they should be kicked out and resisted at every opportunity and punished by the rule of law when appropriate.
Hello, Hello, Hello,
Where is Sheriff Joe?
Zero is on the run,
Start to holster your gun!
Time to present your proof
To finally get to the truth!
You are our president?
Not without your certificate!
What the democrips party wants US to ignore is that the pResident sets the tone for his administration, then his hires carry out their daily activities framing their behaviors and codes upon what the pResident set as the tone. Criminality is what the democrip party is all about because the top prick-in-chief is a criminal thug. He came from the Chicago Way and brought the thuggery with him. His regime is a thugocracy. Sadly, democrat votes/dependents like it that way. They accept the dependency and welcome the criminal behavior with a chuckle as they run the drugs and drunkeness dialy routine paralleling the union thuggery they embrace.
