WASHINGTON - Steven Miller, who resigned on Wednesday as the acting head of the Internal Revenue Service, said in a message to colleagues that there is a "strong and immediate need" to restore public trust in the nation's tax agency.
Miller resigned after the IRS became embroiled in a controversy over the agency's targeting of conservative groups for extra scrutiny.
"It is with regret that I will be departing from the IRS as my acting assignment ends in early June," Miller said in an internal message that was released by the IRS. "This has been an incredibly difficult time for the IRS given the events of the past few days, and there is a strong and immediate need to restore public trust in the nation's tax agency."

Apparently, he was leaving anyway and just upstaged the Kenyan with an email. That will leave a mark.
Oh, puleazze!
The IRS would have to lop off whole slices of the pyramid and go to an innocent until proven guilty protocol before they gain any cred with me.
Not good enough.
Probably transferring to State or EPA.
The wheels on the bus go thump thump thump...
Obama should resign as the is this idiot’s boss
That wasn't trust, Stevie boy, that was and is fear.
Trust??? How do you trust people who are arrogant and utterly unaccountable to anyone else?

Case closed. Now to cheer on those 16,000 new IRS agents hired to enforce OsamaObamaCare.
Are those Tamerlan bump sounds?
The correct term is “Underbussed”.
There was a time when everyone trusted the IRS, when teenage girls would tell an IRS agent things they’d be afraid to tell their own mothers. But then (sob) Nixon had an enemy’s list that he sicked the IRS on. Now, poor Obama is being tarred with the same brush, when really we need to be looking for feathers and a rail.
“Some people call me the space cowboy . . . some call me the gangster of love . . .”
He was scheduled to leave in early June anyway. Meaningless.
Or maybe overbussed?
Well....interesting wording....
