he Internal Revenue Service is now facing a class action lawsuit over allegations that it improperly accessed and stole the health records of some 10 million Americans, including medical records of all California state judges. According to a report by Courthousenews.com, an unnamed HIPAA-covered entity in California is suing the IRS, alleging that some 60 million medical records from 10 million patients were stolen by 15 IRS agents. The personal health information seized on March 11, 2011, included psychological counseling, gynecological counseling, sexual/drug treatment and other medical treatment data.
"This is an action involving the corruption and abuse of power by several Internal Revenue Service agents," the complaint reads. "No search warrant authorized the seizure of these records; no subpoena authorized the seizure of these records; none of the 10,000,000 Americans were under any kind of known criminal or civil investigation and their medical records had no relevance whatsoever to the IRS search. IT personnel at the scene, a HIPPA facility warning on the building and the IT portion of the searched premises, and the company executives each warned the IRS agents of these privileged records," it continued.
According to the case, the IRS agents had a search warrant for financial data pertaining to a former employee of the John Doe company, however, "it did not authorize any seizure of any healthcare or medical record of any persons, least of all third parties completely unrelated to the matter," the complaint read.
The class action lawsuit against the IRS seeks $25,000 in compensatory damages "per violation per individual" in addition to punitive damages for constitutional violations. Thus, compensatory damages could start at a minimum of $250 billion.
“Rogue” means acting outside of the chain of command.
They are doing what their superiors in gov’t want them to do.
Of course, those superiors are “rogue”, in that they are acting contrary to the true authority that gives them their authority.
nope...this is by design.....the IRS....ie taxes gives congress redress to Obamacare in the courts....not show how the IRS targets steals and qualifies and walla LoFlo voters get it

Flat income tax would still require an IRS.
Actually, so would a NRST, but they wouldn’t be involved directly with any individuals, just retail businesses.
Every American will have to prove to the IRS that he or she has “qualified” health coverage.
That qualification will be determined by Sebilius.
Guess who won’t qualify?
Has this been on Drudge yet? If not it should be.

This is bureaucratic thinking but there may me a lot more to this. might be cya. Was easier to give all the info to the irs than spend your time (days) sorting through the info for them. All these regulations are a heavy tax and burden on business........................
Wow.
This is big.

Provided that these billions come from where? These lawsuits feed the beast.
16K new agents to enforce Obamacare. They will all be 100% liberal. any doubt about that?
homo “marriage”?
Revolt is coming.
Dissolve/reorganize the IRS, turn over its functions to the Treasury Dept, you should require a lot less personnel to enforce a simplified tax code. Win-win. You have broken up a corrupt entity and you have saved the tax money because you should need significantly fewer people to collect revenue.
We should also do the same to DHS...giving most of its law enforcement/investigative functions to the FBI and some to the Dept of the Interior.
Oh, and goodbye BATFE. Their one true legitimate activity, the “E” part could also be transferred to the FBI. The other 3 functions the “A, T, F” are all red-blooded American activities and should scarcely be regulated anyway.
I am joking a bit about the “A&T”, but the “F” is a Constitutional/Natural right and should not be infringed. :-D
It’s probably already been done, but I sent a lnk to Drudge and Breitbart.
There was something before the Appellate Court regarding Obama’s eligibility to be on the ballot due to fraudulent activities. I don’t know if the time period matches the request for the medical records though.
The IRS officials involved all the way to the top should be fired. Zero compensation should be paid. No way in hell I should pay some guy in CA via my tax dollars because some IRS agent saw his medical records. This should involve criminal prosecution not civil.
“The IRS needs to go.”
Obamacare needs to go. Let’s get back the Senate next year and repeal!
Any entity that has the authority to make sure you as an individual, business, or foundation pay your legally required taxes is corruptible by political hacks.
So, even moving collection enforcement to the treasury is not a foolproof fix.
