(CNSNews.com) - Rep. Sander Levin (D.-Mich.), the ranking member of the House Ways and Means Committee, has joined Rep. Dave Camp (R.-Mich.), the committee chairman, in demanding that the Internal Revenue Service answer by next Tuesday thirteen questions posed by the committee relating to IRS discrimination against conservative and pro-Israel groups and, where relevant, provide all internal agency documents and communications substantiating the answers.
The committee's bipartisan demand for documents includes all communications between the IRS and the White House about the IRS's targeting of conservative groups.
The committee also warns the IRS in the letter not to destroy, modify or remove any of the records the committee is seeking.
IRS employees are carreer individuals, not political appointees.
When push comes to shove, they will choose their jobs over The President. Presidents come and go, but civil servants are forever.
FIled under MSM Headlines You’ll Never See.
First bipartisan act of this term ?
Togetherness is nice (sigh).
Iow those low level employees o was throwing under the bus will be the next group of whistleblower they were just following order of the Leader
This won’t happen, and I’ll tell you why.
Just a few months ago, there was a big scandal about rogue/alias email accounts being used for interdepartmental communications. As I recall, there are certain modes of communication that are considered private and cannot be disseminated, even to Congress, without a warrant, etc.
I believe they’ve been using these “back channel” modes of communication if not just falling back to “sneaker-net” to ensure nothing could be tracked or traced. I’m still not convinced this is going to amount to a hill of beans.
> The committee also warns the IRS in the letter not to destroy, modify or remove any of the records the committee is seeking.
I’m sure the IRS will obey ths directive.../s
Anytime the perpetrator investigates itself the conclusion will always be the same. A dog and pony show with a finding of no guilt. You’re right, shredders will be working overtime and communications wiped. If for once, we had a true patriot inide that would gather evidence to prove it, 0 would be on his back. We need the emails between 0 or his immediate staff to Miller to see the light of day if they hope to have any chances on proving his complicity. 0 is a real snake though and seems to have developed a higher degree of plausible deniability than past presidents so it will require getting people that are very close to him to realize he is a traitor to this country and to betray him.
Phhhhtttt....like that will stop them? How about doing a formal search and seizure? Is that even remotely possible? Possible to shut-down the known offices and go get the darn stuff? FBI?

OOPS, it seems that again, they are lying to us.
Are Obama’s purple, fly infested lips moving? Then he is lying.
MEANWHILE: President Obamas half-brother, who runs a foundation that collects funds in the United States, was able to get approval of a tax-exempt status from the Internal Revenue Service in an unheard-of time period of only a month, records reveal. Barack Obamas half-brother Abongo Malik Obama, also known as Roy Obama, appears to have received the sudden IRS approval to operate as a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization in only 30 days. The result was made retroactive for three years.
“The committee’s bipartisan demand for documents includes all communications between the IRS and the White House about the IRS’s targeting of conservative groups.”
Good luck, it’ll never happen.
Bipartisan.. what a quaint notion;)
I’d also be interested in communications between IRS and Homeland Security considering the wide overlap of groups/organizations/individuals that were red flagged by both.
Haven’t they been paying attention? Members of the administration have been doing things to avoid these requests for 5 years now
* use personal email accounts
* don’t send emails or even hand-write notes of meetings
* meet at the Starbucks down the street.
Taken literally, “emails from the white house” doesn’t include any of these communications. I’d guess Levin knows this and has been told that it’s a safe request since Obama can comply (though he won’t) without embarrassment.
Also need all contact information with the head of IRS before appointment That’s when he was vetted to see if he’d carry out these actions
Nothing is ever going to amount to a hill of beans with obama. Not F&F, not Benghazi, not wiretapping the media, not the IRS or anything else that comes along. He will come through it without so much as a scratch.
