It's a shakedown racket. Pure and simple.
Sure they have fancy uniforms. But that's the only moral difference.

I take the “broken window” theory on Tyranny. Crush it, deride it, belittle those who perpetrate small Tyranny wherever it is found. That includes cops, judges, meter maids and city councilmen. These small Tyrannies encourage big tyranny.
