Agreed. We sit it out, and defer to Israel to proceed as it sees fit (and back up Israel behind the scenes with money, weapons, intelligence or whatever else is needed short of our direct military involvement).

This civil war is very simple and we need to make sure the proper labels are applied, “Terrorist Regime vs. Al-Qaeda Terrorist”.

The main problem is that one of them will eventually come out alive and be more dangerous than ever before. Libya and Egypt was handed over to Al-Qaeda and look at those countries now.
