Sure - it’s awkwardly worded, and I’m sure some wordsmith can improve upon it.

You can see this throughout leftism, though, even down to what they call their ideology.

“Progressive” - sounds great... until people began to associate it with the ideology they supported - fascism.

“Liberal” - sounds great... until, again, people began to associate it with what it labeled - socialism/collectivism/fascism.

Back to “Progressive”, and hope no one notices.
