I lived in England in the early 1970s...in West Adderbury south of Banbury, both about north of Oxford. I never saw the ‘diversity’ that they apparently have now.
I think England (UKs) problems came when they got so generous as to allow former Empire country cititzens to become UK citizens and emigrate to there. Somewhere in all this came some even more complexing desire to just let in every Muslim and no-good from every sh!thole third-world country on this planet.
I agree they are a goner, much like we will be if this amnesty and current legal immigration policies persist.
Just a small update for you then...
Cowley(Oxford East) and Headington(Oxford North) both now contain a mosque.
I lived in South Kensington in the mid to late 70s and the Saudis and Pakistanis held court. The Pakistanis ran grocery stores so they seemed like decent people; a Saudi man once pushed me off the sidewalk because I was a woman. That’s when I first realized that Muslims were a major problem!
The immigration by various groups in the 1948-1970’s period by and large was fine, its the 90’s failure to clamp down on Muslim extremists and the post 1997 open door immigration thats the problem.
