True..Vince Young comes to mind in recent history.

I don't know why Tebow has been marginalized. He is not a great qback, but few are these days. And it seems the modern qualifications for a qback require that he be able to run as well as pass.

If it was because he caused “distractions” I feel that is a bunch of hooey. As already stated on this thread..there are a lot of players that cause distractions and nobody seems to care.

I am forced to believe it has to do with his Christianity. And that is very sad, imho.

You have to remember that Tebow was never signed by the Jets to be their starting quarterback, and once Sanchez began to fail miserably the team realized that they couldn't just put a guy in there who was a completely different type of QB and wouldn't necessarily fit into the offense they had put around Sanchez. That's why they played their third-string QB Greg McElroy instead of Tebow when Sanchez fell apart.

To me, the question was never about why the Jets have dealt with Tebow the way they have since they signed him. My real question is why they ever signed him in the first place.
