Christian.
What an absolutely wretched understanding of God.
That's what I surmised especially since the problem that Testaverde says has been corrected is the same one that Tebow was working on correcting before he was drafted by the NFL.
I hope the kid gets another chance from a coach/team that can bring out his true potential. The JETS debacle did a lot of damage to him.
Hell, outright thugs get multiple chances and end up as train wrecks anyway in this league. This kid really did nothing to deserve this treatment.
I find it hard to believe that Tebow could go through a program like the one at University of Florida, spend two years at Denver and a year at New York with all the assistant coaches and all the practices, and nobody would pick up on his footwork.
I wasn’t too impressed with Tebow’s backing out of his commitment to speak to the congregation at First Baptist Dallas. Granted, there may be theological differences, but wouldn’t it have been better for Tebow to just lay out his path the God there, and leave the rest to debate? I wish he would have.
I pray that Tim Tebow believes that he has a higher calling than throwing a ball to tattooed thugs and making billionaires richer while cities that are broke are forced to pay for stadiums out of taxpayer dollars to serve the NFL. I hope he gets a really great offer and then turns it down to go serve the Lord.
>>Im in agreement(& biased). I cant believe the Jags didnt pick him up. They suck, never sell out without covering 10,000 seats with a tarp, and its his hometown.
I agree. He couldn’t hurt the Jags’ onfield “performance” and he would create energy in Jacksonville that no other QB could. But, I wouldn’t wish the Jags on anyone—except LA!

Some churches do not permit people to “lay out their own path” in the pulpit. You toe the line or do not speak. Perhaps this was the line that was drawn for Tebow.
The Jags, the East coast’s Oakland Raiders...where players go to die.
I can’t believe the Jets didn’t utilize him in a unique backfield.
Two QBs in the same backfield, one with terrific running ability. Seems to me a whole series of plays could be built around that and drive the defense crazy.

Not true. They are good before they get here. Suck ass while they are here. Then go on to play well after they leave here.
The Jags are the only team that believes it is a union shop, where mediocrity is the expectation and anyone that stands out gets hammered down by their union brothers.
Fair enough.
My only decent memory of them is when they beat the Dolphins in the playoffs 62-7.
What Tebow needs to do is follow the tack of Jason Collins — PROCLAIM HE’s GAY — Teams will scramble to hire him after that just to prove they’re not homophobic. /s
Only if the " complete thug" had talent...
I wonder if Joe Gibbs wouldn’t be able to help find a home for him and a use for his on field talent and give some direction to his off field Christian charisma.
I thought so too, but it’s hard to put your finger on. It was like he was always turning the wrong way...
TT needs to follow Densel Washington and get a contract with a Hollywood Film Company or perhaps Walt Disney. He is done as far as football goes, he is just too big of a pain in the ash.
He needs to say he’s gay.
