Let's face it. Relationships with teenagers by authorities has been going on forever. In old days, Hester Prynne wore that "A"....today thankfully the predator is blamed.
Younger teachers dating high school students: these people sicken me. At the same time, maybe we should accept human nature and go back to "actions have consequences". Teachers who have sexual relations with students should never be allowed to teach or be in a position of authority with children, for the rest of their lives. Besides that, back in the 1960s part of our teacher education back in the 1960s was about avoiding abusing children and avoiding situations where we could be accused of it.
Sensationalizing it??? I'd think it just nakes a certain element of teenagers more tempted to score with a teacher.
