Why is it so hard for most AA’s to admit that AA has really lost its way with its many gay AA meeting?
It is not loving nor is it spiritual to encourage homosexuality.
Thanks for the kind words. I hope that young man is doing well. At any meeting I attend, if I see a new nervous face, I make it a point extend my hand and introduce myself. Someone made the effort to me many years ago, so I just pass it on. Getting sober is one thing.......STAYING sober is a completely different animal.
No resentment at all my friend. You would like there to be so you can discredit what I am saying.
If AA’s had love for homosexuals, they wouldn’t be encouraging that lifestyle.
So if there is anyone lacking in love, it is those who are accepting of the sinful lifestyle.
Sorry ted, not many of us are buying into it. I might suggest that you are violating the AA traditions by injecting sexuality as a requirement. If AA rejected all sinners, there would be none left. I have run across much more 13th stepping than homosexuality in AA. Just sayin.

The Preamble and 3rd Tradition are pretty clear. We even mingle with blacks and Jews.

I see the homos having a real hard time in AA. They come in and then disappear. They get a lot of 30 day coins. Probably because they are living a life filled with secrets and dishonesty because they know that buggering some other homo is fundamentally wrong and perverted even though they get pleasure from it.
It doesn’t make any difference what a person’s past is, it is what is their present. And, I don’t know how one can lead a life of rigorous honesty being gay.
Alcoholism and addiction are not diseases, and it are also not hereditary - they are learned, self-induced behaviors.
There is a billion dollar recovery industry that has made up junk science for profit.
Let's posit that you are heterosexual. What sinfulness is there in your own life? Or do you have the hubris to believe you are any more without sin than a homosexual who has accepted Christ but still struggles with the flesh? The wages of sin (ALL SIN) is death and Christ died for ALL of us - even the homosexuals. I've known homosexuals in the rooms who have slowly come to the understanding that they had a special battle with themselves and their struggles were no different than the guy in the Bible who lamented that he did that which he would not do and did not that which he would do (surely you're aware of the fact that even the original followers were not without some serious faults). Don't be such a hypocrite unless you are truly worthy of casting that first stone. You seem to be trying to come from some high and mighty Christian point of view but you are sorely mistaken in your own worthiness if you really believe it. If you truly are a Christian, your job is to carry the word so that those most in need of hearing it are able to hear and accept it. If you try to decide that certain folks should be excluded from the deal, try remembering how Jonah felt and how that ended up - God INSISTED that he show up to give even the basest of people the opportunity to be ministered to.
Yes, some areas may be different. I havent been everywhere. But it is true in the big Cities.

Last time I checked, Homosexuality is being preached against at authentic Christian Churches.Repentance is preached.
Homosexuals are not excluded but they are told sin is sin and helped to overcome it.
