Reading that AA embraces homosexuality is more than ‘disturbing’, rather it displays a severe character flaw.
On the other hand, perhaps the organization is recognizing that homosexuality, like alcohol, is an addiction.
Wonder if the embracement would include those inclined to pedophilia?
AA doesn’t care what your sexual persuasion - only that you are an alcoholic and want to stop drinking.
AA,in general,is very “Gay Friendly”. In my experience, there is not talk about homosexuality being an addiction. But to be fair, I haven’t seen any indication of it being “Pedophilia” friendly.

Being a female is a normal natural condition.
Being a homosexual is not. People are not born homosexual although the gay activists would like you to believe it.

Some will disagree, but I feel that homosexuality and pedophilia go ‘hand in hand’.
AA is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy; neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.
There is no sexual preference gene. You are not born attracted to anyone. That’s why babies don’t try to get busy with each other.
I was in NA and it was clear, there was a forced acceptance of them, back in the 1980’s.

AA has had sex segregated meetings for a long time. If they can keep it segregated/along gay straight lines, then there should not be a problems. If a few gay activists take over every meeting and try to make it all about them, then there will be a problem.
If AA excluded gays, half the membership would drop out and no one would be helped. I’ve known so many gay men in NYC and those that survived the AIDS crisis, sobered up with AA.

I am/was an NA member also. No mention is ever made of it being wrong. In fact, at every meeting at the beginning they read a short excerpt saying sexual orientation doesn’t matter. (I cant remember the exact words).
The funny thing is that many otherwise conservative Christian Churches allow them to met there, although there is more of a movement towards Celebrate Recovery these days.
If gays try to take over an AA meeting more experienced members would or should stop them. They should not be discussing anything other then their drinking problem
