Where were you on Friday, May 11, 1979?
I was climbing the ladder at a large bank in L.A. and concentrating on classical music. My commute down the Glendale Freeway was accompanied by KHJ, so I had some insight into a music scene that was dominated by Disco.

San Remo Golden Strings: Festival Time
They were the four granddaughters of opera singer Viola Williams, who sang in Philadelphia churches before forming an act. This Disco number hit #10 this week.
I was probably waiting in a long line to fill up my 1965 Chevy Impala--and listening to this song played over KIEV--now KRLA--at 870 kcs.
