When it became clear last fall that the CIAs now discredited Benghazi talking points were flawed, the White House said repeatedly the documents were put together almost entirely by the intelligence community, but White House documents reviewed by Congress suggest a different story.
ABC News has obtained 12 different versions of the talking points that show they were extensively edited as they evolved from the drafts first written entirely by the CIA to the final version distributed to Congress and to U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Susan Rice before she appeared on five talk shows the Sunday after that attack.

Look for Jon Karl to be penalized for this truthful “journalistic indiscretion”. Maybe he’ll join Jake Tapper at CNN, or worse?
Andrea Mitchell is so far up Hillary’s lady parts she’ll NEVER report this story honestly.
Did you know it takes “over 5 Hours” to fly from Aviano, Italy to Benghazi, Libya?
Even liberal Google maps says a commercial airliner can do it 2 Hours and 6 minutes, so we can only conclude the airforce is using Cessna 172’s for ground attack missions instead of F-16, now... and this was 6 months BEFORE the sequester.
Thanks
Why doesn’t someone stick a Microphone in the face of that slob Crowley now. Ask the Evil Propagandist how you feels about LIEING on National TV during a Presidential Debate and not only allowed a Sitting US President to lie thru his teeth but to then chastise his Adversary for calling him on it.
CROWLEY IS A FRAUD. A PAID HACK of the White house.
Nuland is the scapegoat.
Even liberal Google maps says a commercial airliner can do it 2 Hours and 6 minutes,
You and I know that F-16 can do the 2246 miles with tanks(2600 mile range), I am sure NATO had tankers or we had Air National guard on station that could have got them home, Or we could have had them land in Tripoli and refueled to go home.
ANGRY is all I can feel.
“This is old news”
“That happened a long time ago”
“It’s a Fox driven story”
“What difference does it make?”
I love him!
He’s really on a roll right now, isn’t he?
...talking points!
“I’m making quotation marks with my fingers!”
(I love it anytime he mentions David Gregory...)
It’s obvious what the State Department did. They scrubbed everything that would make them, and Hillary Clinton look bad. Then they handed it off to the U.N. Ambassador to take the heat.
This reminds of the Rose law firm’s billing records showing up in the White House library. Hillary said she didn’t know how they got there.
They had to revise the lies 12 TIMES!
I hate these effing people. I hope they rot in hell.
David “Gibbon Lip” Gregory. LOL!
Specifically, Big Candy.
I think the Saturday meeting at the WH is the key.
Wow. If anyone wants a lot of responses to a post, just say something remotely positive about Romney.
Susan Rice Honored With ‘Great American’ Award Night Before Benghazi Hearing
by Debra Heine 8 May 2013
U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Susan Rice was honored Tuesday night with the 2013 Louis E. Martin Great American Award.
The annual award, presented by The Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies, is given to an exemplar of change, progress and willingness to take one for the team if circumstances require. (I may have made that last part up.)
Specifically, the organization is honoring Rice for her work in advancing U.S. interests, strengthening the worlds common security and prosperity, and promoting respect for human rights, another press release states.
The evening gala and awards ceremony, which included Vice President Joe Biden, came the day before State Department whistleblowers testified at the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee hearing on the terrorist attack that took place at the U.S. consulate in Benghazi last year.
The Whitehouse was directly involved in the significant edits.
