Ay least I have lived long enough to see this. Used to be that Southerners and Appalachians were considered the dumbest Americans - never true, but widely promulgated.

They should simply mandate that all companies in the state go broke; it’d save time and hassle. And, let’s face it, it’s what the California communists want, anyway.

I almost want to counter your statement in that the reality is it makes all Californians slaves to the government...

We're focusing on business, but really it makes them all slaves...

South Texas is pretty bad. I have family that left to go back to Nebraska. They have been in Texas (as a family) for almost 100 years.

My cousin said it is no longer part of the USA.

Texas will flip blue sooner than many here want to think about.

I think that California’s ultimate solution would be to do a state version of “nationalization” of all businesses.

The solution to that is move. Why? Because the Government is out to force you out of business. And they will. Like the Jews learned when dealing with the National Socialists, there is no way you will win. Comply with this decree, another more stricter will be enacted until they can no longer be complied with. This same tactic is now being applied to legitimate gun owners.

Yeah. It is kinda like,"I lost my guns in a boating accident" when they come after them. What they will do is take you.

We, are slowly but slowly being forced into one course of action. The 2012 election demonestrated that for all practilal purposes we have lost the ballot box, the soap box is being neutralized and silenced. So....?

Tax return is where they will look. A “Gift” may involve tax if the value is over $ 10,000. Who knows what “low level” IRS employees might try to enforce.

Of course higher-up gov’t officials will know nothing of this enforcement effort.

Being a slave to the government (the State) is a pretty good definition of communism.

I keep saying that I want to go back to the USA. Many have no clue what I'm talking about. But after driving from Mexifornia, though all the border states, then to Tennessee and Kentucky - it was a breath of fresh air to get to a place where English was spoken! The rest of the US has no clue just how bad all the border states have gotten.

I know many Texans love their state, but I think they are in denial about what's going on there. They are invaded and the state's politics will change eventually to match. It's a sad thing.

The problem with that scheme is that eventually you run out of gold. It may take a long while, but sooner or later you will have a crop of fools who are completely removed from reality just as a result of trying to control everything. Its like killing the goose that lays the golden eggs in order to get all the eggs at once.

Likely the gold is already gone from Fort Knox. Studies have been done that over the last 20 years more gold has exited the USA than has been imported, mined, or sold by US citizens. The Chinese and Indians have been buying gold like no tomorrow. The Germans have asked the Federal Reserve to send back the gold it had in “safekeeping”. Ron Paul never got the complete audit of US gold reserves he requested. Who knows what secret and slimy deals our government has made over the past 20 years. It may be it is in the hands of Soros and the Chinese and the bars put on show at Fort Knox are gold plated tungsten.
