I think you over reached your position advocating Conservative Constitutional Republicanism. I understand conservative and I understand constitutional but I don't understand Republicanism.
As a Tea Party Patriot, I seek constitutional government. The Constitution guarantees to every state a Republican form of government. I am satisfied with the Constitution because it provides America the proper amount of government. A Government with powers limited by the people is not tyranny; its a blessing.
Republicanism is government by the will of the people. It’s root is “Republic.” We are a Constitutional Republic. We’re not a Constitutional Monarchy or an Authoritarian Democracy, we’re a Constitutional Republic.
Americans haven’t been in control of the reigns of power for over 100 years. The number of committees, sub-committees, agencies, bureaus, etc. have grown to the point that no group or groups of Americans could possibly make sense of it all not to mention the fact that a grand majority of them are wholly unconstitutional.
I don’t disagree with you that government by the people is a blessing, but the government isn’t limited by jack squat anymore and they’re showing us exactly that. The Founders specifically stated that Governments are instituted by men but are not and should not be the final determiners in any affairs. They are implemented to attend to the safety and security of the republic at-large.
What we have now in America is a Democratic Oligarchy. The people of means and money hold the power through elections which are generally determined by a simple majority. This was NOT how the Founders intended America to be run.
We should be electing the men and women from our communities to represent us and our interests, but with America growing to the size it is, the number of Representatives and Senators has remained unchanged for over 100 years. This means a static number of politicians answering to a growing number of constituents. This doesn’t work for much longer, and we’re starting to see the seams burst now.
