WASHINGTON The US diplomat who was second in command in Libya during the fatal attack on the Benghazi consulate fought back tears yesterday when he told lawmakers about his colleagues final moments and said he was stunned by administration claims it was sparked by a spontaneous protest.
Gregory Hicks, the first person to testify to Congress who was on the ground in Libya during the fateful night of the Sept. 11, 2012 siege, told a House committee that he was incredulous just five days later when UN Ambassador Susan Rice said on Sunday talk shows that the assault was not a terrorist attack.
My jaw dropped, Hicks said. I was embarrassed.
Hicks riveted the audience in a House Oversight and Government Reform Committee hearing room as he recalled the night.

fyi
But the LSM is studiously spiking any coverage of these hearings.
Amen Mesta. Once the ride is over for the guilty, and at this point have to consider all democrats guilty, the angels will pull their swords as each of these guilty pass into eternity. Going to be a rude awakening for many. God, I ask forgiveness for having judged them.

But it was also 2 months before the election and the deceit went on and on...And you know the orders came straight from the top.

attack on the Benghazi consulate took how many hours ? WHERE WAS OBAMA ?
"It is now clear to me that:
a) Hillary Clinton lied under oath to Congress.
b) Barack Obama went to sleep knowing that a U.S.
Ambassador and other Americans were under terrorist attack.
c) Barack Obama awoke refreshed the next day to begin fundraising. d) The entire Executive Branch lied repeatedly to the American people to save Obama's chances for reelection...."
IMHO, it wasn't just the election, Obama is in league with The Muslim Brotherhood, Hillary certainly is. In the America of Old, Obama would be impeached and thrown into prison along with all those who aided the Benghazi betrayal, especially Hillary Clinton, the most treacherous woman in our government, down right unscrupulous.
on please, Mesta.
The way some are saying that the hearings were conducted were not effective at all. The Republicans were not acting like “prosecutors” pulling out the facts. They wasted a lot of time and gave too much face time instead of meaningful questioning of the witnesses. We knew the dems would do that, but figured the pubbies would use their time wisely.

The witnesses were already under a lot of pressure....and disclosed much information prior to this "hearing" ---which really was intended for them to make public in their own words ---without ADDITIONAL PRESSURE --to the public.
Democrats definitely would have handled this as attacking prosecuters!
Yeah, I definitely see that. I just hope it goes further and doesn’t end with this hearing.
Hearings were a big dud.
At several points in the hearing the two guys running it said they would be asking some of the “higher ups” to be there so that they could get their side of the story.
I happened to catch it at 11pm last night just as they were getting started (repeat). I thought I would watch a bit and then fall asleep. It was 2:30 am by the time I figured I should just set the DVR and watch the rest later. Riveting.
I wasnt involved in the talking points process.... As I understand it, as Ive been told, it was a typical interagency process where staff, including from the State Department, all participated, to try to come up with whatever was going to be made publicly available, and it was an intelligence product.
With all due respect, the fact is we had four dead Americans. Was it because of a protest or was it because of guys out for a walk one night who decided to go kill some Americans? What difference at this point does it make?Hillary Clinton
