Democratic strategist and former Bill Clinton adviser James Carville said something about Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tx.) on ABC's This Week Sunday that is guaranteed to raise eyebrows on both sides of the aisle.
"I think he is the most talented and fearless Republican politician Ive seen in the last 30 years."
JAMES CARVILLE: I think he is the most talented and fearless Republican politician Ive seen in the last 30 years. I further think that hes going to run for president and he is going to create something. Im not sitting here saying hes going to win, and I think Senator DeMint is right. Ive listened to excerpts of his speech in South Carolina. He touches every button, and this guy has no fear. He just keeps plowing ahead. And he is going to be something to watch.
And a lot of Republicans feel this way, George, and you hear this a lot: "If we only got someone who was articulate and was for what we were for, we would win elections. And we get these John McCains and these Mitt Romneys and these squishy guys that cant do anything." Well, theres one thing this guy is not - he aint squishy, not in the least.

Ted Cruz Ping!
The Republican politicians of the last 30 years have been a Democrat strategist's dream!
I know some folks in Texas that are personal friends with Senator Cruz and his Family.
The guy is the Real Deal.
He will make a great United States Attorney General one day, before his Appointment to the Supreme Court.
If not, him being Majority Leader in the Senate would be enough for me to die a happy man.
If he was only born in Dallas...sigh...
Well, even Conservatives can dream...
I hope he never drinks the water
I’m starting to worry this guy is too good to be true.
Aside from that all I have to say is
1)Sure glad the TX legislature didn’t have the power to appoint RINO Dewhurst like the anti-17th crowd wants
2)I sure hope certain “constitutional scholars” with ideas about eligibility don’t turn their guns on NATURAL born citizen Cruz if he runs in 2016.
Guess what, he is a natural born citizen because his mother was American and over 21 so it doesn’t matter that he was born in Canada, whether birthers like it or not Cruz can run, no court is gonna stop him. If they complain tell them to shut up and stick to bothering Obama.
I like that pic.
we have a leader ... whether he runs for POTUS or not. It’s about time. He might even meet the high standards of the field marshal.
He already has the Field Marshal’s backing.
I thought he should be VP to Walker but my mind is changing. A CONSERVATIVE “Latino” who’s against illegal aliens? That’s like wet dream which brings me back to my earlier worry, I can hardly believe it. What will go wrong to mess things up?
If this guy ever said something mean to an ex-GF or got a parking ticket expect a federal case to made of it.
Is that his legal name?
There is an army of unimaginable size waiting to support an actual American leader.
I commend you then.
But I’ve seen people go after Jindal, and Rubio, full blast. I couldn’t care less about Rubio right now but I hope nobody makes a stink about Cruz.
Anyway, I really like Ted Cruz. Before I even knew who he was, husband was watching him on some show or another and only half listening he caught my attention! Not bad looking either! And he wasn't a Senator yet and many up here in NY (we conservatives) like what he has to say.
Rubio deserves the flack he is getting for the amnesty thing
We should have no reservation about calling “our guys” out when they deserve it.
Forget U.S. Attorney General, this is our next President. He can then retire to the Supreme Court around 2025 when he’ll be in his mid 50s. 35 years there ought to do it.
