No single mistake cost Mitt Romney the presidency, former Romney advisor Gabriel Schoenfeld writes in the opening page of a tell-all book centered on one mistake on a single day in the 2012 campaign: The Republicans hasty and flawed reaction to the terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya.
But Schoenfeld argues nonetheless that Romneys inability to respond cogently to the Benghazi attack was a key component of his defeat. A man celebrated for his management prowess delegated an immense mount of decision-making power to individuals who failed to carry out successfully that and other basic functions, writes Schoenfeld, who held the title of senior adviser on the campaign. The author substantiates his critique with a biting assault on Romneys campaign team, especially campaign guru Stuart Stevens and especially policy director Lanhee Chen.
Chen was no Henry Kissinger. Schoenfeld writes, noting that the policy director preferred to be referred to with the honorific of doctor. Indeed, he had once self-deprecatingly boasted in a meeting that he could not find Finland on a map, Schoenfeld adds. Stevens, he continues, was controlling about cosmetic issues like how to distribute the campaigns major policy bookbound or on digital USB sticksbut wasnt concerned by its contents.
Despite his campaign title, Schoenfeld worked mostly outside the candidates inner circle. Reporters who covered the Romney campaign publicly wondered who the author was after news broke of his 74-page eBook, A Bad Day On The Romney Campaign: An Insiders Account.

Good analysis of a weak and/or duplicitous campaign.
You should be
No, he did not. Romney received about 59.1 million, and McCain received about 59.9 million. That calculates to McCain receiving about a million more than Romney.
Obama beat McCain by about 10 million but only beat Romney by about 3.5 million.
Those who did not vote against Obama put Obama into office. It’s just that simple.
“If you are dead when your heart stops, why aren’t you alive when it starts.”
Well, you really are alive when it starts, aren’t you?
The LIVs don’t even know who this Ben Ghazi guy is! Romney could have stood on his head and whistled Dixie and it wouldn’t have mattered one bit. Obama and his sycophants, along with the Spanish company counting the votes (sic), rigged the vote counts in the key swing states and it was all over. ...and this will continue to happen in every national election going forward until the Repubs really grow a pair and put a stop to it! I doubt that will ever happen!
2012: Romney got 60,932,795, or 47.21%
2008: McCain got 59,948,323, or 45.65%
So, Romney did better than McCain both in absolute numbers and by percentage. Zero won an absolute majority in both elections.
Those who did not vote against Obama put Obama into office. Its just that simple.
Probably true. And some of them are here.
agreed
Stop it.
Don’t pull up incomplete numbers and try to pass them off when real ones are close by.

Correct, flak means you’re over the target. Bomb harder and send more wings.
