Funny thing is, many of our daily words are taken from Yiddish.

Boss, Scheister, Schmo, Schlemiel, Bupkis, Keester, etc.

BTW...I am reading “War and Peace” right now, and I am finding that a LOT of the jokes from Rocky and Bullwinkle were gleaned from this Tolstoy Classic.

eg: The young lovers are named “Boris and Natasha”

In one scene, a character says, “BOOOris, Darling” with an emphasis on the “O” in Boris as an aristocratic affectation.

I’m not kidding. It’s in there!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! (Who would have thought one could “LOL” while reading Tolstoy!)
