A 93-year-old man who was deported from the U.S. for lying about his Nazi past was arrested by German authorities Monday on allegations he served as an Auschwitz death camp guard, Stuttgart prosecutors said.

Hans Lipschis was taken into custody after authorities concluded there was "compelling evidence" he was involved in crimes at Auschwitz while there from 1941 to 1945, prosecutor Claudia Krauth said.

Lipschis has acknowledged being assigned to an SS guard unit at Auschwitz but maintains he only served as a cook and was not involved in any war crimes.

You’re the one complaining it’s not fair. These guys are private citizens, just like you and me.

Go do something about what you see as unjust and see if it is as easy as you say.

.Too bad the same enthusiasm isn't shown for those who committed atrocities in the name of Stalin,Mao,Marx,Lenin,Kim Il Sung,Ho Chi Minh,Che Guevera and other mass murdering Communist psychopaths.

Then start a group that does just this. Why complain someone else isn't doing it? Most Nazi Hunters are/were private citizens operating exclusive of their respective governments.

I never said it was not “fair” and I never said it was “easy.” I said that it is hypocritical, but I will admit I do not know if these people are or are not going after Soros and just have not gotten to him yet. If they are going after him then I will retract my comment. If not then my comment stands.

There have been attempts to bring Soros or equivalent folks to justice.

Because they were relatively far removed from the actual “dirty work” of killing, such eforts have been unsuccessful.

Sadly, Soros may never face justice in this world, but I am convinced that he will face it. He doesn’t seem like the type to repent and beg God for forgiveness.

Glad there is no statute limitations on murder.

No evidence whatsoever that he was a guard and participated in the murders..........That was already established back in 1983.

After all these years, I thought you were a supporter of individual rights, innocent till proved guilty, yada, yada, yada........

.Nice to be able to pick and choose your cause isn't it?

This wasn’t ‘established in 1983’. In 83 the US kicked him out of the country because they discovered the status of his SS affiliation and lying about this on his entry into the US. Germany failed to indict him until now and did so because they found documentation of his membership with the Deaths Head brigade; the worst of the worst. He was never ‘found innocent’ and the claim of ‘no evidence’ is false considering the documentation they found that just led to his arrest.

If he is found guilty, I hope they have a slow hanging.

I do find it funny how many people we have who want to quickly come to the defense of these old Nazis.

They are gonna have one hell of a time convicting him, and then what?

They tried back in 1983 and it didn't work. I suspect if they put him under enough stress this time around, he'll likely die and make everyone happy........

Nazi hunting is a farce when they track down 93 year old men, who may or may not have been cooks, but were almost certainly not movers and shakers or policy makers.

I guess you missed the part of the story that says the documentation they found listed him as part of the Death's Head brigade, not a cook. Those were the worst of the worst murderers. They would count as movers, shakers, trigger pullers, and gas switch flippers.

I am surprised he was not working in the Obama Administration. They want people with no moral compass in the military and in control.

That is why they promote homo’s everywhere.

so because they found documentation of his membership with the Deaths Head brigade

Sorry but there was no such evidence, his claim that he was merely a cook was never successfully proven false.

The only thing they have to go on now is that he was a member of the camp in order to make him an accessory to the murders.

Since you are suddenly an advocate of justice for alleged past associations, are you ready to call for the death penalty for Lt. William Calley and the members of Charlie Company?

Justice for all brah, no quarter given......you can't pick and choose who you wish to hang and who you wish to excuse.

Am I missing something? Don’t we have people in office that break the law every day? The law applies to us not to them. When reason fails....

Yeah, you are missing something.

Sorry but there was no such evidence

Apparently you didn't even read the story or you are in complete denial in your pathetic attempt to defend Nazis. The entire point of arresting him now was the discovery of the documentation showing him in the brigade. Really pathetic defending him with that line considering the stories are actually showing scanned images of the documentation in question.

Quite a few Japanese, no Viets. That’s what happens when you let RATS lose a war.

“No evidence whatsoever that he was a guard and participated in the murders..........”

Did you even read the article? He was among the worst of the worst.

I don’t think it’s hypocritical, it’s just that they have no ability to do go after Soros.

Yeah, the super-rich get away with murder.

Well, yes. They can afford the really good lawyers, have layers of people doing the dirty work, and can buy power and influence. Shocker.

If this guy was one of the murderous thugs in the death camp, whatever punishment he gets he deserves - even if the stress of the legal process kills him.

However, if he was some low level flunky, then the nazi hunters need to give it a rest.
