Does any intelligent person actually believe that the United States is giving them food, giving them medical aid, giving them military training in Jordan but not supplying them weapons? There were stories well over a year ago about shipment of modern western arms with no serial numbers pouring into Syria.
Is there any doubt that for the next 20 years we will find any arms we give them being used against Americans throughout the world? This is lunacy.
It is the ultimate irony that our government sees nothing wrong with sending heavy weapons to al Qaeda, while simultaneously disarming American citizens.

Yet another astounding foreign policy failure begins to take shape. No one advocating invention (and taking sides IS intervention) in Syria has presented a compelling reason why it’s in America’s interests to step into that morass on the side of al-Qaida - aligned jihadis who have already given death threats to Syrian Christians.
Not one dollar of American treasure and not one drop of American blood for muslims... ever again.

If Assad would come out as Gay, Obama would be arming him.
We need a prime directive like they have on Star Trek.. We don’t need to get involved in someone else’s internal affairs, especially a civil war.
As much as I despise Assad, the best we could hope for would be for him to hold power. It’s too bad he hurt Obama’s feelings, and now the region and the world will suffer with whatever worse government replaces him. I’m still hoping that Russia will save Assad and us - they are far less anti-American than Obama and his people are.

This is stupid. Arming one bunch of subhuman savages so they can fight other subhuman savages is stupid. When they finish trying kill each other, the arms are used against civilized countries.

The United States will “shortly” admit to arming the “rebels”. They won’t admit that they are arming Al Qaeda but the results will speak for themselves.
In the middle east there aren’t any really good solutions. The current project will take down an Iranian ally and replace it with another Muslim Brotherhood government.
The only peace in the middle east continues to be the area occupied and defended by Israel.
