Right now in the TX legislature we’re trying to get SB241 voted on – WITH NO AMENDMENTS - which has to do with Smart Meters, and the ability of Texans to opt out of this program, with no penalty. I wrote my Texas friends yesterday with talking points, etc. and urged them to CALL YOUR STATE SENATOR and urge him/her to vote FOR Senate Bill 241!

I saw the full documentary last Friday night – excellent. It showed me that this is not an issue that should be relegated to any political party. It’s not a “nutcase” issue. Intelligent professionals in scientific, ecological, biological, engineering, security, health fields, etc – are on record as opposing smart meters.
You should care about this if you value your security (from regular home thieves who can easily find out when folks are out of town via the smart meter), value your security from other forms of interference stemming from the knowledge of exactly what electrical appliances you are using at any time (thus tracking your daily life patterns), value your independence, freedom from control of your life by others, value your health, and on and on … (as always, the bottom line is money and control).
The trailer to the movie “Take Back Your Power” is just a few minutes long – but it gives a good overview of the issues involved with smart meters. I’m sharing this with those of you who aren’t in Texas – just so you’re aware. The film shows people around the globe beginning to wake up and protest smart meters.
