Reid calls Sen. Cruz a ‘schoolyard bully’

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) called freshman GOP Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) a “schoolyard bully” during a contentious exchange Monday on the Senate floor.

The two senators bickered as Cruz rose to object to Reid’s motion to appoint conferees to a House-Senate budget committee.

Cruz said he was concerned that the conference report—which cannot be filibustered—would be used to raise the nation’s debt ceiling. He asked that Reid amend his motion to go to conference to make out of order any provisions raising taxes or raising the debt ceiling.

Reid said Cruz had a chance to amend the Senate budget—which raises $975 billion in new tax revenue from tax reform—when it was considered on the floor.

Doesn't a bully have to have some kind of power over others? Either real or perceived? Such as being Senate Majority Leader?

Sen. Reid, the mob-connected criminal, sure has some gall.

Cruz, a Tea Party darling whose rhetoric has sometimes raised eyebrows among Republicans, shot back that “I wasn’t aware we are in the schoolyard.”

Dingy Harry nailed to the wall!

Understanding procedural motions and how they work is extremely complicated.

Cruz did his homework and then some!

For a freshman he is kicking A and taking Names — and I helped put him there in my first Texas vote! Yay me! ;)

Exactly true !
I believe that psychologists call it a “case of projection”
when you ascribe your actions onto someone else.
Reid knows how he ‘bullies’ legislation in the Senate ...

...the Senate budget—which raises $975 billion in new tax revenue from tax reform—

Seems to me that Cruz is trying to save me some money while stupid ole Harry wants more of my money to spend so he can buy votes to keep his silly butt in office. I'm absolutely amazed the people of NV keep sending him back to office when he does little but raise their taxes and spend more of their money. Stupid...
