If you get amnesty and a path to citizenship, what the Mexican president wants, that will lead to the erasure of the southern border of the United States.
So ominously stated syndicated columnist Pat Buchanan on PBSs McLaughlin Group Friday.
If you get amnesty and a path to citizenship, what the Mexican president wants, warned Buchanan, that will lead to the erasure of the southern border of the United States because the Hispanic population in all those border states is going to be decisive in elections, and they will begin to demand that to people shut up about immigration and let it come forward. And when that happens, youre going to have an entirely different USA.
Newsweeks Eleanor Clift predictably pushed back saying, Theyre talking about thirteen years minimum as a path to citizenship for people who are already in the country. If you cant handle that, this is not amnesty.
Thirteen million illegals in your country is no problem? quizzed Buchanan.
Thirteen years is not a giveaway, Clift responded, and its not amnesty. So I would appreciate if you didnt always use that phrase.
Its not amnesty? a shocked Buchanan asked.
After Clift reiterated No, Buchanan said, They came in illegally and then they can stay.
Sound like amnesty to you?
Clift refused to answer Buchanan's question. Typical of a lib.
Pat is being too nice. It will destroy the economy of the USA.
This also results in a far different Mexico ~ and I don’t think Mexican society is resilient enough to survive it. They’ll be reduced to penury far nastier than anything they’ve known when slick Yankee traders come in and take all their stuff.
There's really no more room here for unskilled labor.
Eventually the future will come down hard on everybody, and countries where they've known nothing but poverty will be left in the dirt.
” There’s really no more room here for unskilled labor.”
Correct
There is always a place for cheap labor.
The current system is great for some employers. They pay slave wages but don’t need to keep feeding the people when the crops are in.
The unforseen problem is: If we feel responsible for taking care of people fleeing another countries corruption, poor living conditions and standards, than how long will it be until we feel it’s our responsibility in taking care of the other countries corruption, poor living conditions and standards?
If you look around the world its quite apparent that the US is being left in the dirt. There are many cities where the cost of living is higher than anywhere in the US.
America’s strength is our middle class, something many countries don’t have. We won’t have it much longer.
Mexico has good security on their southern border.
20 million. And then their relatives, it will be over 40 million before we know it.
I agree. Mexico will turn into a more of a hellhole than it is now.
Response: Pat is a little late as there has been no Sourthern border for years. Besides a border is irrelevant as no one will do a D*mn thing about the army invading our country. Americans are too sick physically, psychologically and spiritually(I don't mean the Old Time Religion.).
Well, they not only made it inside. They conquered the City Upon a Hill and are busy soiling it.
You have the answer! The problem is the the US/Mexican border is too wide. However the southern border of Mexico is quite narrow.

I propose this solution. We make Mexico the 51st state and grant them all citizenship. We dissolve all forms of government in Mexico and replace them with a red state form of government. We kill all the drug cartel members with snipers or an open hunting season.
They will no longer have any reason to come north. Problem solved.

RUINING it.
However we resolve the residency status of people who are presently here illegally, it MUST NOT lead to them being able to vote. PERIOD.
Nah a border won’t be needed as Mexico and Canada will become new states. Like a Kansas-Nebraska deal.
Exactly.....human labor is being replaced by automation.
All immigration will do is bring in more welfare and govt aid recipients
