Bump!
The state they reside in is free to tax them, but my liberal state has zero business writing tax laws for them unless they move here and they WONT.
It is a great way to punish those states that have high state taxes!!!!
I agree... NO TAX INCREASE EVER! I like that even better! :-)

You may have a good point. The other Senate conservatives fall into various categories... Too soon to tell (Deb Fischer, Tim Scott, Mike Lee, Ron Johnson, etc.), Outstanding conservatives BEFORE they became Senators but now suck (Tom Coburn, etc.), Beloved BEFORE they were in the leadership (Mitch McConnell, etc.), Overrated "conservatives" to begin with (Jeff Flake, Marco Rubio, John Cornyn, etc.) Big disappointments (Pat Toomey, John Thune, etc.), Been pretty quiet lately (Jeff Sessions, Pat Roberts, Jerry Moran, etc.) and Can't be trusted (Rand Paul)
But what they all have in common is that Ted Cruz is the only Senator to be consistently awesome thus far. Sad, really.
One big concern I have if Gomez wins in MA (and let’s face it, he does have a shot, if only because Markey is SO bad a candidate) is that the party establishment will use him as a leftist sword & shield to attack Cruz with. The media will pimp Gomez as a “big star” despite that he’s nothing but a Socialist Democrat plant.
United States Constitution, Article 1 Section 10:
No state shall, without the consent of the Congress, lay any imposts or duties on imports or exports, except what may be absolutely necessary for executing it's inspection laws: and the net produce of all duties and imposts, laid by any state on imports or exports, shall be for the use of the treasury of the United States; and all such laws shall be subject to the revision and control of the Congress.
They’d put a better candidate up next year and he’d probably get bounced just like Brown.
In the meantime Markey’s loss would give them some much needed humiliation as we hopefully build towards another 2010. What’s another RINO Senator? A drop in the bucket.
They may not mind RINOs such as Gomez but they’d certainly rather have their own man in. Make them spend some money to get the seat back as we may have to do if that slag down in SC beats Sanford today.
Meh, whatever, I just want them to lose even if we don’t win.
i am on the scottie brown email list and havent heard a thing from Gomez about asking me to attend an event or whatever. Not much in the local news here either. I’ve never seen or heard anything of Gomez except here on Freeper. Very low key and I am 25 miles from the MA border.
Gomez might survive in a mid-term. Brown would have. Obambi voters bounced him.
“Theyd put a better candidate up next year and hed probably get bounced just like Brown.”
Exactly.
“They may not mind RINOs such as Gomez but theyd certainly rather have their own man in.”
The Rats here have a hatred of Republicans similar to the hatred the Germans had towards Jews, circa 1938.
Kennedy rant: The Kennedy’s policies (don’t forget JFK’s EO permitting govt. employees to unionize) unleashed more destruction on this country than any other event or events, by far. And that includes the Civil War.
Here’s a summary of the House version of this bill which hasn’t been brought to the floor.

****SUMMARY AS OF:
2/14/2013—Introduced.
Marketplace Fairness Act of 2013 - Authorizes each member state under the Streamlined Sales and Use Tax Agreement (the multistate agreement for the administration and collection of sales and use taxes adopted on November 12, 2002) to require all sellers not qualifying for a small-seller exception (applicable to sellers with annual gross receipts in total U.S. remote sales not exceeding $1 million) to collect and remit sales and use taxes with respect to remote sales under provisions of the Agreement, but only if such Agreement includes minimum simplification requirements relating to the administration of the tax, audits, and streamlined filing. Defines “remote sale” as a sale of goods or services into a state in which the seller would not legally be required to pay, collect, or remit state or local sales and use taxes unless provided by this Act.
******
Here is a bit about the Streamlined Sales and Use Tax Agreement that is referenced in the bill:
In 2002, many state governments came together to fight against the tax-free internet shopping trend. They formed together and made the Streamlined Sales and Use Tax Agreement (SSUTA), also known as the Streamlined Sales Tax Project (SSTP). As of 2005, there were 44 states that participated in SSTP. ******
Today twenty-four states have adopted the simplification measures in the Agreement (representing over 31 percent of the population) and more states are moving to adopt the simplification measure.
The following states that have passed legislation to conform to the Streamlined Sale and Use Tax Agreement: Arkansas, Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin and Wyoming.

You’re right I misspoke, Warren was almost as bad a candidate as Coakley. Brown would have beaten her with midterm turnout. I’d say Markey is the best of the 3 for whatever that’s worth, but still a boring d-bag.
In a regular election, even a midterm, against someone like Lynch or a Kennedy, Gomez loses I would say. Brown I believe would have beaten Markey and probably held the seat in 2014. He leads in polls for Governor if he’s still interested in THAT rather than NH Senate, which is insane.
That slag didn’t win down in SC today. Saved some money there, especially since Sanford had zero funding anyway. He had to make his own signs with spray paint, and he still won! haha.
Like you said though, having that MA senate seat will just divert more Rat money, which we need to do. Draw the enemy’s resources away from their sitting ducks, Begich and Hagan.
