RINO Radio?

Republican In Name Only Radio?

Taking on… Rush Limbaugh????????

And demeaning the audience of one’s would-be customers… this is a business proposition? Seriously?

There’s two parts of this discussion: talk radio and former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee.

”“We are in favor of eating our own cooking," The Dickey Brothers are looking for any excuse to replace Rush with their homegrown talk show hosts.

But one suspects if Rush Limbaugh had been Governor of Arkansas instead of Mike Huckabee — Governor Limbaugh would never have pardoned Maurice Clemmons.

So true.

Mike Huckabee is awful. I seriously doubt he can compete with Rush. Huckabee is certainly not a replacement.

Let’s see, Beck is relegated to the “Alex Jones” margin, FOX is running toward the left, Drudge is under attack and, now, Rush is being pushed to the edge. Eventually, Shepard Smith and Joe Scarborough will be the MSM faces of “respectable conservatism”?

When Huckelberry comes on in the morning, I know it is time to tune in Rush Limbaugh.

Huckabee is a joke along with his buddy Sean Vannity (who befriends every Democrat he has on his show). I can only take about 15 minutes of Beck before I want to jump off a bridge.

From the article:

A tiny, tiny sampling of what can happen is already evident in San Francisco. There Cumulus has control of KSFO, which was, until January 3rd of this year, broadcasting Rush in their 9-noon time slot (remembering this is West Coast time). Apparently anticipating Huckabee, they pulled Rush — and substituted former Arizona Congressman JD Hayworth while waiting for the Huckabee show to start this month.

This site here shows the ominous results. Almost the moment Rush disappeared from KSFO in January, the station’s ratings, at least as published here, took a tumble.

Pretty much accurate, except they've had Huckleberry on longer than indicated.

What is not mentioned is that KKSF 910 immediately picked up Rush and the entire SF Bay Area Conservative audience just tuned to 910 some of 'em, all the time. The move was a disaster for KSFO, even with their excellent local talent remaining.

It may force those who have “subbed” for a number of the big names to “step up to the plate.”

It may force the digital services to pick up WOR AM and others as well.

"This latest war on conservatism, radio-version, is cloaked in the language of radio. Brother Lew Dickey tells the Times that “We haven’t seen the 25-54 results with the stable of talent that’s out there today. We think we can improve on that with this approach.”

This is, of course, a reference to the 25-54 demographic that is considered radio audience gold. And in addition to the RINOism of Mike Huckabee that they believe will somehow appeal to conservatives, the Dickeys have signed up… Geraldo Rivera and CNN’s Dr. Sanjay Gupta.

This is firing up the conservative radio base of the future?"

Who told these dipwits the public is clamoring to hear Mike Huckabee, Geraldo Rivera and Sanjay Gupta?

Why don't they just run bumpers saying "Hey, conservatives. F U!"

Huckabee is crap radio.

He’s Sean Hannity’s older mature brother.

Ain’t no replacement for Rush or Levin

Wasn’t Dickey the smart one? I didn’t know they were still playing.

It was a stupid, stupid move.

KSFO would totally own 5am to 9pm by keeping Rush.

Asia turns out moving Rush to 910 enabled me to to discover Tom Sullivan. the alternative to Sean.

I’m with you! Been doing my best to ‘conserve’ this country for future generations.
Hannity, Beck and Huckleberry are only in this for themselves. I don’t see them representing any conservative principles, just how to get along with the enemy. Cognitive capture, imho.

And this is the following he has. Some quip about him running for office, that would be a waste. He can reach more people where he is now and educate them. If he left the airwaves then we would be stuck with the entourage instead of the leader.

Whenever I turn on Fox and Huckabee’s mug appears, I reach as fast as I would if Keith Olberbaby’s face came on to change the channel.
